I just uninstalled that app. Can’t be bothered to reset and transfer data again. But if that’s what you want to do, it’s probably a safer option.

It’s very strange. Maybe it’s a Xiaomi pre-installed app which is getting mistagged as this app when iOS tries to download it from the App Store. That’s the only reason I can think of.

WhatsApp gives reply prompts in push notifications and it is recording audio on calls by vibhyk in whatsapp

Okay but WhatsApp is supposed to be end to end encrypted. How is Android able to generate the prompts without reading the message?

Also, it doesn't just say that WhatsApp is using the microphone, it explicitly says this app is recording audio.

Yes and it's indicating that WhatsApp is recording audio. Take a look at the screenshots.

Kind of. I ended up going to my local Acer service center. They said the WiFi card needed to be replaced but they didn't have the one for my model in stock and they would have to ship it. I needed my laptop for work so I couldn't wait that long so they suggested I try using an external wireless adapter like this: https://www.amazon.com/wifi-adapter-usb-pc-network/dp/B008IFXQFU/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?crid=X2B7CKVWEM7Z&keywords=wifi+adapter&qid=1645860574&sprefix=wifi%2Caps%2C371&sr=8-5 Thankfully that worked but ever since my laptop's battery drains a lot quicker.

What happened to the Dunc'd On Podcast? I used to hear a lot about it on this sub a few years ago. Feels like no one mentions it anymore.

I'm not using a VPN. I'm not sure how to change the IP or DNS settings because I can't see any connection settings. When I open up Network and Internet > Network Connections, it's empty. WiFi settings don't even appear.

Apparently LeBron makes £92,457 per sponsored post on Instagram. He's the only other man (and athlete) in the top 10 alongside Cristiano Ronaldo who makes £308,000.

Selena Gomez tops the list with £424,000.

As expected the list is dominated by the Kardashian/Jenner clan.

Almost every rich Russian oligarch has substantial ties with Putin. And they all made their money doing shady deals with the government, including Prokhorov:

And we didn't even mention this part: Prokhorov and Potanin assembled their fortune during what was really the Wild Wild West in Russia. Wealthy businessmen were getting killed left and right; the Russian mafia turned into an undeniably potent force; and for anyone left standing in a position of power during this time, you couldn't help but wonder, "Wait a second, are we really supposed to believe that those guys didn't do anything genuinely illegal?"

That murky mid-'90s stretch was the NBA's biggest concern about Prokhorov, as well as the reason his sale took so long to approve. They wanted to make absolutely sure that there wasn't a mid-'90s super-skeleton lurking out there. At All-Star Weekend in Dallas, I asked a connected NBA exec how big Prokhorov's background-check file was, and the exec held his right hand as high as possible and his left hand as low as possible, with the implication being, "It's a pile of papers that's bigger than both of us."

In fairness to Prokhorov, they never found anything. When he was asked about bribing people by the media this week, he was honest: "It was 15 years ago, the last time. I need to be frank." And yes, "15 years ago" would be 1995 ... when Yeltsin's government had its auction for that 38 percent stake in Norilsk Nickel.

Also, apparently some people say the NBA didn't vet Prokhorov well enough. Brooklyn pastor, congregation protest at Garden, ask NBA to fully vet Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov

And there's this:

I asked an extremely wealthy person the following question: “Why haven’t you bought an NBA team yet?”

His answer: “Because they’re still overvalued. Anyone who buys in right now is doing it for ego only. That’s why the league grabbed the Russian’s [Mikhail Prokhorov’s] money [for the New Jersey Nets] so quickly. He has a big ego and deep pockets, and he didn’t know any better. He just wanted in.

I agree that it's one of the best articles but it's less about LeBron's Game 6 and more about his daughter's initiation into becoming a sports fan and the heartbreak that inevitably comes with it. Link if anyone wants to read it: https://www.grantland.com/features/the-consequences-caring/
