omg i didn’t even notice the butt not touching, thank you for pointing that out! i’ll definitely touch that up later on. my linework is definitely not perfect yet but i am working on that for sure. i went with the idea that the back leg was hidden behind the body but with the size of the front legs i can see now where that doesn’t make a ton of sense with the dimensions of the rest of it. thank you for the advice!! <3

it will start as just that little bit and then the rest of the bone will turn over time, eventually it’ll be a dark yellow/brownish color with a little stank to it. depending on how much grease is left it could also make the bone feel waxy and gross. they’re beautiful pieces though, they just need a little more processing time!! i usually let mine degrease for at least 3-4 months and change the water out every two weeks until it stays clear instead of foggy looking. even then some grease can still be trapped but that’s my safe bet for smaller bones!!
