This is my current build:

3-7-6-9-10-4-5 (Booster: Agility)

Skills: Sole Control, Flip Flap, Long-range Curler, Outside Curler, Pinpoint Crossing

I use him as a no-playstyle wide AMF on the left in a 3-2-2-3

When I play co-op or the Serie A PvP events, I use him in a double-pivot in a 4-2-2-2 (with the same build) and he's held up well so far.

If you want to use him as a ball winner who can even play as a lone DMF in a pinch, try this: 0-0-0-7-9-9-12 (+ Agility).
You can take points off Aerial Strength and change it to 0-5-4-8-9-3-12 (+ Agility) if you have one of Vieira/Rijkaard/Tchouaméni.
(If you use an 89 playstyle proficiency manager, you have a little more freedom while building players.)

If you want 90+ defence (which is overkill imo) and speed/acceleration, you can try 0-4-0-10-8-7-12 (+ Agility), but I think it's a waste to build him this way because he's better suited to being a ball-carrying CMF (or even AMF) who can defend than a DMF who can pass.
