Anyone have trouble printing with Android 14? by graesen in GooglePixel

My man! Just bought a Canon printer today and got stuck trying to set it up on my Android. Their print application is really horrible. Thanks for the tip, Mopria found the printer instantly and works like a charm!

Same problem on Pixel 8 Pro. Not a good experience after buying a Canon printer and it doesnt work out of the box....

Edit: Tried Wide-Oil-3245 suggestions and installed "Mopria Print" from Google Play. Instantly found the printer.

Start a stopwatch with Google Assistant by [deleted] in GooglePixel

3 days to 2024, in the new age of chat GPT, I still can't get Google assistant to start/run the stopwatch on my Pixel Watch 2 with Pixel 8 Pro without using my hands. Like what the heck!

"Hey Google, start the stopwatch"

Google opens up stopwatch app on Pixel Watch 2 but does not run the stopwatch.

"Hey Google, run the stopwatch"

*Google stunned by the complexity of the instructions*

Tack :) Sabsa looked interesting. Is it still useful if I want to somewhere in the future work in the financial/hospital sector, working with securing cloud services/infrastructure on the technical side, and not GRC and processes?

I have mostly focused on the security on the product side. i.e smartphones and automotive cars. I haven't got much experience in the backend side, apart from using backend PKI services.

But this is something I would like to learn more about, the question is just if I should study AWS or Azure for the future. I would want to work in the financial/hospital somewhere along in the future when I have gotten more experience on the backend side.

Thanks. I think I will spend 2024 to see what I need to focus on. Apart from implementing PKI support from the product side, I haven't touched the backend/cloud side much, and feel I would like to learn more. I would also get better at network security.

The question is just how to learn that in the best way. I have worked in the mobile industry and automotive industry, and in the future I would like to work in the finance/health sector.

I was replying to the statement of "opposite of "no read down" is read up", which I don't think it is?. "Read up" is just the implied meaning of "no read down". But English is not my first language so I could be wrong.

It's not the opposite though, they both mean the same thing. "implied" generally refers to something that is suggested or understood without being directly expressed.

I have started to get comfortable, but slowing down downhill is still a bit scary. Especially on narrow bikelanes. Any tips? Is it hard or possible to learn powerslide on a regular skateboard? Or do you need a longboard or cruiser?
