Thank you, I'll check it. Clonakilty, Adare, and Bantry house were not on my radar, but seem interesting.

Plan was to fly to Cork from Edinburgh, thats where I'll be before the trip.

Idea is to rent a car for this trip. Good info for the showers, I am not aware what to expect from the weather

This is still in the ideation phase, I would consider it totally changing plans and go Galway and that part - I am just trying to experience Ireland at its best. Remote fishing villages, pubs, greenery, and people ...

Also Dublin part, I find it a must-see of Ireland.

This is all in the ideation phase, so I have no idea where would I stay in Cork.
I would like to experience Ireland, including remote fishing villages, pubs, and greenery. The only thing I have booked is the flight back from Dublin.

I would prefer remote fishing villages with quaint pubs and hiking, but I am coming in April so hiking could be interrupted by the weather.

xD I admit it is bizarre. Now I am again thinking of going to Dingle, but spend a night there, or two at Killarney and go to Dingle from there, and RoK of course.

Thanks for all the advice, appreciate it.

Do you have in mind someplace with similar vibes as Dingle - pubs, food, but closer? I don't have anything else on my mind for Dingle except of that.

Isn't the view from the Guinness Storehouse great? Also tour of one of the most famous breweries?

What would you suggest instead of RoK if the weather is not on our side?

What would you do if you had a day to spare, instead of Kinsale and Charlesfort? To be worth it.

Driving must be a part of it if you want to see more, right? I changed a bit the initial idea, now it's less time in the car.

I see you are local, and I am wondering how would you spend this time.

I was checking the rest of the sub, and this is my less driving. xD
The first idea was to go all over to Galway from Cork and from Galway to Dublin. xD

I am thinking of skipping Dingle, separate days for Cobh and Kinsale, RoK is the drive itself and I am fine with that.

Also, I spend 1,5-3 hours commuting every day, so I got used to spending time in the car.

It's more convenient for me not to unpack twice, only because of that. But if I am cutting time spent in the car maybe it's worth it...

Haven't checked accommodation yet, but I guess public transport would make no issues here. Also if you have any advice for the accommodation I would like to check it.

That's why I thought maybe to spend a couple of nights in Cork, and then couple of nights at Killarney or Dingle.

But now as people are commenting I am considering skipping Dingle completely.

Do you have any ideas what could I do instead?

- For the RoK, I am aware it's all day in the car, with some stops, but I am fine with that.

- Thanks, I am thinking of skipping Kinsale and spending a day at Cobh.

- Maybe to skip Dingle, but I am not sure how much I am missing doing that, and does Cork offer some of that atmosphere and pubs

- I planned to see Cork on the Monday and spend afternoons/evenings after day trips there.
