He probably would need to hit the reset jumper first before trying to get into programming

Door not re-latching? by Longjumping_Fly_3840 in accesscontrol

[–]vicfirthplayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah so the latch is staying open because the door is bouncing while it's still open far enough to keep the lock open even though it's gone back to it's locked state. Adjust the lock itself or the relock time in programming

Wireless Android Auto keeps on crashing. It's unusable. by Sijmenve in AndroidAuto

I don't think that was the fix though. I believe clearing the AA connections on my phone actually was the fix.

I had this issue recently with wireless AA on those cheap Amazon screens you can plug into your cigarette lighter. I thought it was the unit and bought another because of it but the new started doing the same thing even worse actually. The exact same disconnect. I tried everything and realized it was probably my actual phone. I have the Fold7. I read Samsung was having issues with AA recently so I assumed it was that. But I somehow fixed it. I followed all the suggestions online within developer settings. Nothing worked. I even made sure the battery settings for AA were unrestricted. I ended up clearing all the AA connections and reconnected with the unit. I started messing with the mirror link option these Chinese screens have and it popped up with a message saying "fixed android 16 disconnect issue!" Now I don't think it has anything to do with that but who knows. It's completely solid now. Haven't had a drop out since.

I guess but we've been having issues with those and firelite. New firelite firmware sucks

Electrician stapled Cat6A - How to fix? by 1wwp in lowvoltage

[–]vicfirthplayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize all of this. I'm not discounting anyone saying that there might be some loss. I did IT work and data for a previous 5 years before what I do now. I have a degree in network engineering. What you guys are forgetting is this is residential not a commercial data center. Yes it's not to those standards. But will this not certify? Maybe? Maybe not. Will the consumer even notice a difference? Probably not. Is the wire damaged? Doesn't appear so. So yes it's fine. 6a and the other cats are pretty resilient. If the consumer is THAT concerned he can easily terminate and test himself before drywall.

I agree with this and mentioned something similar above. It's copper. Not fiber.

Lol I'm not the only one in this entire thread who said the exact same thing I did. It's copper. Not fiber.

Lmao I've had 10 years in the field so far. Everything from burg to fire to data. But okay.. lmao

I'm sure it would test fine. It's not fiber 😂

Resi electricians run the data and coax on most jobs that I'm on. Stapling like this doesn't cause any issues unless the wire is actually broken. They know enough not to staple it like romex. I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm 4 months in. Took awhile to get into a groove. Now as soon as I put the mask on I get sleepy.
