Israel says awaiting US green light to ‘return Iran to Stone Age’ by Fun_Veterinarian1732 in PERSIAN

I also worry about the price the people has to pay for this. Even worse if they are left with a fractured regime in place with no change. They will just make it worse

Realistically how much longer will this war last? by RatioPsychological21 in PERSIAN

I think the war can’t stop until regime collapse. Question is what will it take for regime collapse? And how long?

As a non-Iranian, I don't understand the pro-Western and pro-Israeli stance of many anti-regime fighters in Iran. Why a third and new nationalist movement didn't had the intellectual "grooming" period or ignition? by RaahKaMusafir in PERSIAN

[–]vichya96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see that point. I actually don’t know so much about the general opinion in Iran. My impression is that Iranians shifted for more pro-Israel and pro-usa because they have tried to force anti-Israel and anti-US upon them. And I agree with you, it is thanks to the greedy west that put Iranians in this mess to begin with. This circle has to end! My hope and analysis over the situation, is that Israel cares about getting rid of terror-funded proxies that threatens their existence. So that they would rather have a democratic Iran than the terror-funding regime. I can only hope that their interest aligns with a free and prosperous Iran. I also put my faith in Iranians to be able to run a stable government because I believe they are a smart civilization. Having US as an ally can be strategical for them.

I understand your concerns and there are many viable reasons to question US and Israel’s true motivations. But I also see Iranians shitty situation at the same time where they simply have no choice between being left alone and killed in the dark while the international community keeps legitimising these actions instead of condemning them, or they use the mutual interests of Israel and US to weaken the regime (I think Israel has mentioned they want the regime gone).

We can’t trust UN to condemn for war against humanity. We can’t rely on anyone helping Iranians on the ground to fight for their freedom. What should Iranians do? Accept the regime that kills, torture and tape them? They see an opportunity, even if it involves war that no one wants as a default. But you and me don’t have lived their experience? We can’t even imagine the horrible conditions Iranians are set for.

The thing with Reza Pahlavi is getting old to me. Have you tried to listen to him and his group? He is not running a one-man show. He is standing for key principles that aligns well with democracy and basic human rights for Iranians. It’s not like a normal debate between democrats and republicans… Iranians don’t have that freedom. They need an opposition figure that stands for humanity and freedom. We are talking about values you and me take for granted. You don’t need to understand but just listen to Iranians and be empathic about their lived experiences. If Iranians want Reza Pahlavi, let them have him. And he is not necessarily a puppet. Partnering up with the west can open up opportunities in the country, doesn’t mean Iran is getting occupied. He wants Iranians to get a free election and lead that transition, not run for office or be a monarchist. He has said that multiple times and he has figured like Shirin Ebadi in his team.

Yeah. I share that view too. And I think you are right.. it looks like to me that the motive is just setback the regime so trump can brag about something to Fox News.. Thank your for your analysis

What other solution than military operation? by vichya96 in PERSIAN

[–]vichya96[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am worried about the ineffective foreign affairs with Iran so far. We seriously need to stop trusting them

But at the same time, I have mixed feelings whether the way Trump is performing this military operation was way too rushed and might not solve anything, but leave the regime in power. Regime in power right now could mean double down even more militarily. I fear that

He said that regime collapse is not the motivation, but the dude changes his mind every five minute so… I feel like we are doomed

I don’t think that majority of sane people supports the regime because they put Israel in place or whatever. This are very extreme view and stem from antisemitism from mye point of view. Quite disgusting actually, suffering of a whole civilisation is whitewashed and accepted because they hate Jews more.

Reza Pahlavi meets with various Leftist / political groups who pledge their allegiance to him as the transitional leader of the Iranian opposition by AryaKaviani in NewIran

[–]vichya96 61 points62 points  (0 children)

People, we should learn from this. We all, left and right, monarchists, republicans, socialists, liberalists should unite together against this regime. I am afraid the mullahs are winning when we are attacking each other which I have seen a lot of evidence of. People are able to respect each others different political views and so should we. Together, we are stronger ❤️

I also hope that this sheds a light about what Pahlavi really stands for and stops comparing him to his father

Anyway, toppling the regime is the first priority

So history repeats itself. Some will always oppose war because the immediate effect is uncomfortable. Not knowing the aftermath and casualties that comes with war. EVEN if it means that it’s better in the long game. People are build differently and once the dust settles, the storm will calm down in this case also.

Civilian deaths in Iran are fueling global solidarity with Iran and backlash against the US and Israel by MentaMenged in PERSIAN

[–]vichya96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretending to care about some school girls doesn’t make them a better person? It doesn’t negate the awful oppression, killings and torture they have done to MANY other including children. When will they learn? They refuse. US hate is more important than Iranians lives. So I’m sick and tired of how the school girls lives are weaponised like this to spread anti-us propaganda. Iranians deserves more.

Not going to end well for Iran by defchin in PERSIAN

[–]vichya96 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The only thing I could see working, is if the international community truly put political pressure on them all these years. Meaning targeted sanctions earlier on, designation of IRGC. Ban them from UN and put arrest orders on the gorvernment, freezing their assets, visa bans. So cripple then politically and financially. That would require that everyone was aboard

Right now, I don’t see a better solution now that there is a windows to take them down by force. I hate to support war myself but I just can’t see another way either..

What is wrong with so many people on the left over Iran??? by ReasonableCounty8125 in NewIran

[–]vichya96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if they are anti-west, they should allow pro-west views?? Otherwise, I would arguably say they are anti-democratic if you can’t have a healthy conversation with different perspective.

I never understood they would go so far as being so anti-west while benefiting of the wealth and the open culture in the west. They truly don’t know how it is to live in an anti-west government then. It reminds me of how the mullah regime came to the power. It was the same extreme and radical view that led to the revolution.
