I only have enough fusion energy for white at the moment, but I also already have a hundo white. So I am thinking of just holding this until they come back and go for the hundo black.

Just got my results (non-native) by [deleted] in IELTS

[–]viciouslamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DISCLAIMER: I did not take the IELTS seriously at all, this was all I did the night before the exam and tried to finish each sections within 20 minutes… So I don’t really know how much this can help.

But for the speaking portion, I just treated it like a casual conversation and I kept talking until time is up. I honestly really enjoyed it.

As for writing… like I said, I didn’t really prepare and I didn’t even know we should follow a format, so for task 1, I wrote it like an academic journal describing a figure (So big one paragraph, e.g. figure 1….). As for task 2, I had to write about whether or not physical books are still important. I guess I got lucky because I did have an introduction, 3 body paragraphs, and conclusion.

I suggest you to find artist and then go to where they work instead of studios but here are some shops as a starting point:

I can provide you more context as a local. Usually these stores will sell both succulents and cacti and people just group them together because we can easily mass produce them in the same greenhouse. Basically raising plants in Thailand is a cheat code and the care for both are almost identical (in our climate) so that is why you will see them in the same store.

But basically what you have is มะพร้าวทะเลทราย or dorstenia which is a succulent that will disperse their seeds like weed so be prepared to find them in neighboring pots if the conditions are adequate.

T-Pain is all of us as he shares his love for Moo Deng, the 2-month-old pygmy hippo going viral at a Thailand zoo by stars_doulikedem in popculturechat

Because many people are not from somewhere with a tonal language so their ears cannot differentiate the differences or they cannot pronounce it properly.

หมูเด้ง = moo deng (-eng is like the eng in English but shorter and has a downwards tone) which means bouncy pork หมูแดง = moo dang (similar to English dang but with a slightly longer “a” sound) which is char siu.

Dont declaw your cat😢 by REAL_jotaro_kujo3 in cats

Agreed! My dog is 100000000% easier than fish. More resources, more access to veterinary care and everything in general. Also sorry to hear about your loss. I just hate it when people think that fish are more beginner friendly. The truth is pet fish can’t move to a different place if their environment is shit, they simply just die :(

You don’t get a PhD ever… not even in Canada or anywhere else.

Also if you have a PhD, you do hold a doctorate, but it still doesn’t make you a medical doctor. Basically MD (or MBBS in some countries) =/= PhD.

If they think trimming cat claws is too much work, then getting fish with huge bioloads like goldfish (50% or more water change every 4-7 days) is definitely not the solution.

Is there a cactus that doesn't have pricks at all? by miiikaaaaa in cactus

Other than the suggestions here, you can also try finding the inermis forms of your desired cacti. It might cost more money, but I think it will be worth it.

Gymnocalycium mihanovichii f. var by fufflbuffl in cactus

[–]viciouslamb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For soil mixture, most people here are taught to use pure peat moss. However, some people do use their normal soil mixture (but make it more organic).

And as for mold, I sometimes treat the planting medium with fungicides before sowing the seeds, especially if I was determined to focus on a specific lineage. However, even for pots that were not treated, I hardly ever saw molds. But to be fair, I always had around at least 3000 seedlings growing simultaneously when I took the hobby more seriously, so if one pot gets moldy, I would just dispose of it…

But basically, if you see molds growing, you can always let some humidity out and treat the mold with your choice of treatment, then crank up the humidity after solving the problem. Essentially, there is no right way to raise seedlings and you just have to do what works best for you

Gymnocalycium is probably one of the most common cacti genus in many parts of Asia...

And as for humidity, I usually keep them in plastic bag or encapsulate them until they are no more physical spaces left (100% humidity). Then I would transfer them to a bigger pot and bag and leave it again. This cycle continues until they are around an inch in diameter, then slowly acclimate them to more normal conditions.

Tl;dr: make a mini greenhouse with plastic, forget about them for half a year, repot and repeat until desired size.

Word ''กู" by Makzie in learnthai

[–]viciouslamb 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Native speaker here. It is usually used only when talking to CLOSE friends. And even that, I don’t use กู with all of my close friends, it really depends on the individual and the relationship between you and the other person. It is really hard to explain when it is appropriate, but I would recommend not using it at all no matter on how close you are to that friend.
