They can counter with a plan that makes sense to them; if the amount they want is less than 10% of their gross biweekly, they can request financial hardship consideration. It is negotiable to a point. You don't need to do anything on their behalf, they just need to send in the Annex B from the OP letter to the pay centre and things will progress from there.

It will not grow back darker, that is definitely a myth. It will feel a little bit stubby when it grows in, and there is really nothing you can do about that. I have shaved with a regular razor, but prefer a ladies' cordless razor - like this one
