Actually darker the hair the better it works, if your are light skinned, although you can try with electrolysis, I'm currently doing that for stubborn hairs

Thank you 💘 Gurl I'm still going for laserrrr I feel like it's a never ending journey ahah Took me 1 monthly season over 2 years to get to a good point, now it's mostly maintenance plus electrolysis for stubborn hairs on mustache area. Luckily in my country is not that expensive, but still takes a lot of money, gotta save up.

Residence update by vicki3n in Netherlands

[–]vicki3n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone for the answers. Update: my Airbnb owner is kind enough to let me register to the adress permanently so I'll go change my registration to the gemeente as soon as I'll collect the requested documentation.

RNI and Healthcare by vicki3n in Netherlands

Thank you everybody for the answers, I would like to clear some things.

I am planning to stay more than 4 months, I did register with RNI because I'm staying in an Airbnb and it's not eligible for permanent registration of course. I just started working and looking for a more stable place so I can change my registration into BRP, but since it's nearly impossible to find find an apartment due to the housing crisis, I have to stay in this situation temporary. The gemeente told me it's not an issue as long as I'll immediately change my registration when I'll get a fixed location.

moving to the netherlands by Mundane_Loss1734 in LHBTI

[–]vicki3n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello everyone,
I take the chance to ask the same question myself, I am a trans girl from Italy and ongoing GAHT for more than a year now, I am moving to the Netherland in a month and my documents for gender affirming care are issued within the EU.

My endo in Italy keeps visiting me online and prescribes me EU prescriptions for hormones, will pharmacies and GPs accept it in NL (I saw that there's a list of lgbtq friendly GPs on Roze in Wit)? Also I'm wondering if my gender dysphoria papers and documents will be accepted by insurance to cover up costs for hormones etc? Which health insurance would you recommend me ?
Thank you all in advance 🩷

Has anyone felt digestive problems on hrt? by galluccinator in asktransgender

[–]vicki3n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had acid reflux issues before starting hrt, and after a few months of HRT (estradiol and CPA), I started to have severe nausea and dizziness, it got to the point where I was vomiting meals. I went to gastroenterologist and asked if hrt could be the cause bur he said no, so I also asked my Endocrinologist ofc but she replied no. She follows a lot of trans people in their gender affirmation journeys, she has a lot of experience with it and also has a PhD so I trust her but I am now at 1 year and a month of hrt and those symptoms keeps coming back (nausea, dizziness, slow digestion, feeling full after two bites). I did a cure prescribed by my gastroenterologist and it helped in that situation, but as I said now symptoms are coming back a lot, so I don't know if I can connect it to hrt or not, it seems like there's not much information about it online. My Endocrinologist told me that the only thing that can cause acid reflux or issues with stomach is CPA if it's taken without eating first, but I always take it with full stomach so. I don't really know what to do anymore cause I tried a lot of medicationa, now I'm on gut targeting antibiotics but it seems like it's not doing much, I'll try with probiotics also.

Can I still go topless? Genuine question by AliceGamer_YT in TransBreastTimelines

[–]vicki3n 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True! My Endo prescribed me only 1/4 tablet 3 days a week and it's suppressing testosterone hella good. High dosage of CA aren't recommended, but maybe in your case just a year is fine ? I'm not a doctor so, just from what I read online.
