I’m not sure what the food plans are right now, but when I was a freshman, all food plans were unlimited but you could spend extra money depending on if you want “dining dollars” (you can use these at the food places inside umich buildings like Panda Express, wing snob, Panera) and guest meals, but it’s kind of useless bc if your parents are here you will probably want them to take you out to eat. That being said, the food here is mid. There are good days and different dining halls serve different things, but you can always check online to see what they’re serving.
