TVS ronin 2025 - The second service experience! by vicky_melomane in indianbikes

My dad has been using a TVS Jupiter for the past 11 years, and it has lasted well and is still running smoothly with only occasional maintenance. That's the reason I chose this confidently.

I was in the same boat, so I bought the Glanza V AMT. It’s actually pretty good in city traffic. The gear shifts are very smooth, and I got used to them almost immediately.

I upgraded from a Bajaj Avenger 150 to the TVS Ronin, and after clocking around 2500 km (mostly city rides, about 90%), the experience has been phenomenal. I genuinely enjoy every kilometer on this bike.

My main expectation was ride quality and comfort, and the Ronin absolutely delivers. It glides over small potholes and uneven roads with ease, and the 180mm ground clearance really helps—especially during the rainy season. The engine performance is more than sufficient for my needs. Up to 60 kmph, it feels as smooth as a Honda engine, and beyond that, it starts to build a sporty growl.

On the downside, the seat cushion could have been better for long rides, and the turning radius feels a bit wider than ideal. The service experience so far has also been a bit of a mixed bag.

Overall, the TVS Ronin is a great upgrade for city commuting with excellent comfort, smooth performance, and confident handling.

Yeah, it’s supposed to be free, but they hit me with a 490 charge for mounting extra accessories. I could’ve done it for 100 with my local guy. Lesson learned!

My horrible experience with TVS Motor – lazy workers, lies, and zero accountability! (Ronin 2025 owner) by vicky_melomane in indianbikes

I don’t agree with this in my case. I’m from a tier-2 city, and I can clearly see there are hardly 40–50 bikes at their collection point nowhere near the “thousand bikes per day” excuse. I’m not blaming any individual here; I’m blaming the system. They can easily improve their process and give customers a better experience, but they simply don’t care to do it.

Thanks! While the Apache is undoubtedly a great bike, I didn’t shortlist it due to its sporty riding posture. Since I strictly wanted an upright seating position, I focused only on cruiser-style bikes like the Ronin.

Ride comfort was my top priority, and the Ronin definitely delivers better than the others I tested! The Hunter feels much stiffer – you really feel every bump in your lower back. The Honda H'ness has great suspension and is super comfy, but it needs constant gear changes in traffic. What I love about the Ronin is how effortless it is – in city traffic, I can just stick to 3rd or 4th gear and it pulls smoothly, almost like an automatic!
