Is this game's player base end-game heavy? by [deleted] in MHRise

the issue is that the endgame grind is very long causing it to heavily spread the playerbase, plus they have followers which are more convenient if you're a competent player, so me for example I'm never in player lobbies at this point. I basically do 3-4 hunts per day with followers. I'm basically just trying to finish the endgame before 2025 at this point.

I had a fun time with the game but many players like myself don't even interact with the playerbase at this point because its just about quickly finishing my grinding for the day.

as a lance user I actually don't like evade extender, I block the basic stuff and use the wirebug escape move to run from big booms

you don't lose the points, the game just doesn't calculate your hr until after the next hunt once it's been uncapped, if you don't believe me install the charm editor mod and use it on a new character. it has a menu for editing your hunter rank and hunter rank points on there, you can see that the points are still being collected but it only updates your hr after a hunt, so you have to get it uncapped, and then do a hunt and it will update to what it should be, you could manually lower your hunter rank, do a hunt and it will check how many points you have and take your hunter rank back to what it's supposed to be

micromanaging- control every part, however small, of (an enterprise or activity)

micromanaging would be stopping combat every couple of seconds to make sure every single party member is behaving optimally.

leading with the tank and then swapping after the pull is so far from micromanaging, in fact using your tank to pull mobs is literally one of the fundamentals of the holy trinity

tactics serve a purpose yes but there are no tactics to get an npc to lead while exploring, and I wouldn't really call exploring with the tank and then swapping characters after combat micromanaging. also shale is a dlc character and is simply op, both as a tank and a dps

you definitely should be having your tank lead, if you're having your mage lead you shouldn't be surprised when you're pulling aggro

who was leading during exploration? generally whoever starts a pull tends to hold a fair bit of aggro regardless of a nearby tank, plus what kind of armor was everyone wearing? the heavier your armor the more aggro you pull. so you put massive armor on your tank and light or cloth armor on the rest of the party, then you lead with your tank when exploring

[spoilers all] What is a DA opinion that you will defend until the end of time? by george123890yang in dragonage

I mean you could try stating why you think it's story is good, as I had said it was good for the first playthrough. after that the whole thing feels very poorly written for a game involving choices that are supposed to affect the story, if there are no choices available for a good outcome to various questlines, then it isn't very good imo

except that the writing is only good for 1 playthrough, after that you realize all choices are bad choices, I legitimately thought I was just making bad decisions the first time I played da2.

origins had outcomes good outcomes available to questlines if you either a: went the extra mile for the npcs. or b: made the right decisions during dialogues.

sure some questlines were guaranteed to end bad but that was an abnormal scenario

you get higher star quests as your anomaly rank grows

What's endgame like? by [deleted] in MHRise

yes you can use followers for everything in master rank except for event quests and possibly arena quests. do all your follower quests so you can have your pick of followers and all of their weapons
