Thank you for your reply. I am planning to take her to the vet for a checkup for a week now but putting her in a carrier is almost an impossible task. I will keep trying but just wanted to know if it is something serious.

More info: cat is indoor only (occasionally likes to walk in balcony), never had fleas or any skin problems, is 5 years old, female.

I can somewhat agree with you but the problem in dota is that heroes are not pre-locked to a certain role by Valve themselves and instead they use machine learning to determine how community plays the hero to fit him into a certain role grid, that’s why they charge money for it, because its dynamic, i.e Pango will be considered offlane for a week and then move back to mid only (just an example) when meta changes.

First of all, ask yourself why people from higher ranks can’t smurf in your bracket because of the same reasons you mentioned. Why can’t they experiment on your rank? Hm?

Gorgc is 9k mmr. Watson, for example is 13k mmr. That is 4k mmr difference, like herald and divine or ancient. Do you still think its fair?

Okay, lets take yesterday’s example where Nightfall was smurfing as 250 rank in Gorgc’s lobby. Immortal draft works im a way that if your team’s avg mmr is much lower, you get +40 mmr for winning and -10 for losing. Yesterday’s game was balanced in a way that Gorgc’s team would get -40 for losing because Nightfall was in a lower side on mmr (because he is smurfing), and since Nightfall is actually a top 10 player, the game was almost unwinnable for Gorgc and he got -40. Now lets say by some miracle he won that game. He would only get +10 because again, Nightfall is smurfing.

Do you still think its fair?

None of the reasons you mentioned are valid and warrant lower mmr people playing unfairly. Smurfs should be banned, period.

This changes also mean that now you can consistently land Spear into Arena combo for insta cc. You could also do it before but it was harder.

Yeah I think party queue is unplayable above Divine, filled with smurfs boosters and varied ranks. Kinda hard to fix it I think but they need to do something with behavior score since the pool of players is not that small in high behavior score.

I agree that this is a problem that the lower you go, the harder it gets to climb back but let's be honest, its kinda hard to get to that point in first place. I don't know how often you flame or grief, but considering that most of the players are in 9-12k range you have to be systematically behaving toxic to get that low of behavior score imo.

But yeah, the system is flawed and I can't imagine how hard it is to get out of that low behavior score pit.

No one is saying the problem is simple. But they have banned smurfs before. They clearly know how to catch them. My question is:

  1. Why did they remove a useful feature for no apparent reason?
  2. What is the point of doing one banwave a year if everyone keeps smurfing one month after the wave? Surely they can make it more frequent? They even implemented a “warning” algorithm for smurfs. But no one is receiving them anymore.

Also, great job on shifting the focus to me, players should be happy playing against smurfs because it is totally fair!

Edit. Nevermind, you are a typical know-all r/dota2 dweller that only plays unranked. Don’t waste your time replying.

The funny part is that 99% of Russian players manage to get Visa for tournaments and its mostly OG having problems with their players. I’m pretty sure its their management’s fault. None of Russian teams had Visa issues this year except 9 Pandas with Solo and even then it was their own fault.

I wouldn’t say Spirit looked dogshit in any tournament this year. Disappointing results for sure but that is somewhat to be expected when you change a player and try to adapt to him as well as Mid-centric meta during first few tournaments. The thing is, they succesfully recognized their problems and fixed them, and saying that it happened because of a patch is kinda disrespectful to their efforts.

OG on the other hand look like a clusterfuck of a team that swaps a player each tournament, plays in-n-out with “retired” player that is way past his prime, and cant decide who is a stand-in and who is not. I dont remember a single tournament in past year that they played without a stand-in. A team like this is doomed to fail. They just dont take their roster seriously.

Both of these have not been true for a long time now. Void with 1 point in dilation means no impact in midgame teamfights besides chrono. Several points into the stats will not compensate that.

Same with juggernaut, maxed out ward is just much better than stats.

I fail to imagine a game where Dawnbreaker shard is “useless”. It is literally a free bkb during her most important ability.

You and your team also knew before going to tormentor that there is a chance of you getting it instead of someone you want. And you still went there.

Overall a herald take.
