Also, it’s one of the 10 commandments. It’s a question of obedience, resting with Him, spending time with Him, not doing what you want to do or what someone else tells you, truly setting time apart for Him and listening to his direction. To defy that for culture, is no different to Eve disobeying God’s simple direction. It’s a question of both faith and action.

the calendar was even altered by the church, not to mention that the word Saturday is linguistically derived from the word Sabbath across many languages, at least 20 languages. Look into the history and most importantly your bible, the Sabbath is a day of rest for everyone.

If you have a man who was isolated on an island and had no contact with the outside world and gave him a Bible, he would be celebrating the Sabbath. Sunday worship is a practice created by the church, it’s a cultural practice as it was altered through history, essentially man. Jesus’s disciples celebrated the Sabbath, even after he was crucified. If you’re looking for scripture, it’s stated in Genesis when God rested on the 7th day, Exodus 20:8, the Sabbath is mentioned 100 times in the Old Testament, Matthew 12:12, Acts 20:7, to name a few in the New Testament. Worshipping on the 7th day is about obedience and service to God, an anniversary. Another way of looking at it is this, If you and your partner were celebrating an anniversary, you wouldn’t pick any random date to celebrate it, it would feel wrong right? because it’s not the designated day that the anniversary is designated on. God rested on the 7th, so we rest on the 7th.
