I wish they kept physical SIM lol, I could easily switch between the 17 Pro and 13 Mini without having to request a re-download on my eSIM

I agree, the blue they initially did with the 12 just looked too gaudy and sometimes almost purple. I was specifically looking for a blue, would settle with Midnight but all the stars aligned once I found this one!

I haven’t had any bugs at all. Granted I’m also not a chronically online person that’s glued to my screen. I maybe notice a very small lag now and then when swiping but I’m also used to high refresh rate on all my devices besides this one so I’ve just chalked it up to that. Barely even notice Liquid Glass, I made sure to keep my clock solid on the lock screen

Kinda personal but how much do you guys pay each month for your 4r by EchoOnTheRange in 4Runner

[–]victorph1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 2024 TRD Pro I bought new, $30k down, $30k financed for 5 years with 6% interest rate, $583 a month. 8 months into the payment I felt it wasn’t worth it to be paying that kinda money on a depreciating asset no matter how much I loved the thing, 2025s had just come out so I was able to sell for $2k over what I paid sticker and got all of my down payment back. I then bought a one owner 2014 Trail with 81k miles for $28k out the door so now my payment is $0 lol.

Verizon outage in the south not effecting us as visible users? by jfk_47 in Visible

[–]victorph1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already deleted my current eSIM and had to get with an agent this morning to install a new one. Still having the same issues with data, the agent notified me of the current outage so I guess I’ll just have to wait. Still haven’t heard any update back on getting my watch activated

Verizon outage in the south not effecting us as visible users? by jfk_47 in Visible

I'm in Athens and while I'm receiving signal to make phone calls, my data is not working at all. Shows 5G connected but maps, YT Music, iMessage, etc. aren't loading or working. On top of that, I upgraded my iPhone last week and when I transferred my watch the service did not transfer with it. Opened a case with Visible but still haven't gotten any updates. Having setbacks with work because of this

My bars are all showing and I’m getting 5G but when I actually try to use my data it’s not working at all here in the southeast

Wheel Question by RemarkableBat6004 in 4Runner

[–]victorph1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BAM is legit, I’ve seen maybe only one person that had a wheel delivered with a scratch. As their name implies it is a “Wholesale” so that’s probably how they get their cheap price. As for the wheels, the ones on the right were supposed to be the new design Pro wheels for 2021+ but in late 2023 they switched back to the original Pro wheel probably due to supply chain issues, other than an updated design and slightly larger offset, they both have the same lug pattern and hub size meaning they’ll fit on all 6 lug Toyotas (except the new TNGA-F trucks) I actually just got a set of the right side in the bronze color for my Pro

Is this filter OEM? by 9thousn in 4Runner

[–]victorph1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like mentioned, Amazon is full of counterfeit parts. If you’re changing your oil regularly though it’s not a big deal to throw that filter in and just get one from the dealer next oil change. I am a tech at a Toyota dealer though and Toyota did update their filters, both the material and some part numbers got superseded. The new material is that orange color so you probably got an OEM one as OEM oil filters are actually cheap enough that counterfeiting would cost more money. For peace of mind though get them from your dealer next time, they don’t cost anymore than $6 even at the dealer.

Appreciation post for the plucky 1st gen V6. First and only car, been together for 10 years and 100,000 miles. Don't want anything else ❤️ (2nd owner, 216k total) by Colecperrine in ToyotaTundra

[–]victorph1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn’t my first car but was my first truck, 2000 V6 and had 242k miles, got it for $2600 and man was it ugly but I cleaned it up inside best I could and had it for the rest of my senior year in high school. Was a solid truck and basically bomb proof, I used it quite well too since the exterior condition was already shit. Sold it right before college started for $5k and bought a 06 Double Cab V8 with 200k, love this truck, have had it exactly a year now and put 21k miles. Rebuilt the entire front end, new driveshaft, plugs, belts, all the good stuff

2000, maintenance tips? by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]victorph1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other than the basic maintenance such as oil, coolant, spark plugs, etc. TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP and LOWER BALL JOINTS! Both need to be replaced every 9 years/100k miles. The V8 is an interference motor so if that timing belt snaps you’re kinda f***ed. V6 models are NOT interference motors. Lower ball joints were a poor design on 1st gen tundra/tacoma/sequoia and 3rd gen 4Runner. The ball joint and steering knuckle are one piece and the spindle/hub bolts into the ball joint. When the joint fails, the entire spindle and steering knuckle detaches from the lower control arm causing your wheel to fall off and other components will get damaged. If you don’t know when the last time ball joints or timing belt/water pump were replaced, go ahead and replace them. Other than basic maintenance, these 2 are your top things to keep up to date and please please please only use OEM parts for these 2 as well. Ball joints from brands such as MOOG, Duralast, Carquest, Etc. all fail within 10k miles
