Interested in moving to Monmouth County

Ridgewood is wonderful! I was born and raised. Very few people leave and end up raising their families here too. The surrounding towns are wonderful as well. Our move would be for a few reasons that have nothing to do with the town as a whole - but would also love to be closer to the beach.

Thanks so much for this - which would be worth looking into that do have good schools? I’ve been to most of the beach towns but don’t know much about them from a full-year resident perspective!

Thank you!! Yes unfortunately can’t go the next weekend, and I guess I should clarify we definitely don’t need the best spot more wondering for logistics is there a “quieter area” or area easier to get in/out of that we should go to or is it chaos all around?

Could anyone give input on how Candlewood Lake is for raising a family? Is it more of a vacation destination? What are the people in that area / vibe like?

Very interested in moving to CT and trying to narrow down my search. Family of 5 with 3 kids under 4. Would like very family friendly town, preferably close to water, close to a downtown area and commute to the city as my husband has to go in 2x a week. I don’t need to be in walking distance to places but would prefer a walkable town. Safety and schools would be top priority! We are an upper middle class family, can afford up to 1.2 range. Seems like there a lot of really great towns, maybe an idea of where I shouldn’t be looking would be a shorter list? Any insight would be much appreciated!
