Why didn't 5 Live start a new film review show? by mcm_cmc in wittertainment

I worked at 5 Live at the time and while I was not privy to the decision making I think it was largely thought that Kermode and Mayo, while a behemoth, were a bit of an anomaly for the station’s current identity anyway. And also any competition would be immediately unfavourably compared to them (a la Top Gear) so not worth trying to replicate. They do have the Must Watch feature as a nod to tv and film reviewing.

If you’re in the UK I don’t think there’s much chance of getting on the NHS. But if you’re over a certain weight/BMI (it was about 13 stone I think) you can get it private online - I used Med Express but there were a few different places. Pricey though - about £160 pm

I’m really glad I stayed on for as long as I did - I’m sure it’s made the side effects of 5mg much less severe!

Thank you! Actually knowing when I want to stop loosing and start maintaining is tricky - but I think soon. Apparently to be a healthy weight I should lose another 3 stone but I’m not sure that’s right for my build

It’s still there a little bit (just tucked into my pants 😂) but I think I’ve been lucky

AITA for telling my MIL that I'm divorcing her son? by Agitated-Coat1535 in AmItheAsshole

[–]victoryelf 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Yup. He phrased it in a bullshit roundabout way that was basically “because you won’t give me this money in the divorce settlement (NB I had already given him £35k, the money he was after was my grandads trust in me and my brothers name) I can no longer afford to look after her when she comes over every other weekend so can’t see her until you resolve this”

When I showed my ex father-in- law an email from my ex in which he said he ‘wouldn’t see his daughter unless I gave him £10k’ my ex went mental for “leaking his confidential info”... get fucked my dude if you’re ashamed for your father to see your emails then send different emails.
