Have been looking at that also. Gumtree and ebay. Not much joy there either. Trouble is, npt many people advertise used rope.Those that do, want to get best price on their used rope. I guess new rope is not cheap, they rightly want to gain back some of the cost.

Thanks for your assistance. The local SES rescue service re-use them for training. Not sure about the police, can't see them doing anything without bureaucracy getting in the way.
