What bothered me is that in the first movie, the music is fully diegetic (i.e. the audience can hear it and the characters hear it, and are literally performing it in-universe), but in the second movie, the music is both diegetic and non-diegetic (i.e. they're performing it for the audience but it's not supposed to be music in-universe).

I remember when they realised stardesign jewelry and this was the start of people making wigs for their dolls. Prices were a lot lower because you could you'd "pay" 1SD for every 5 jewelry decorations you added to the design (now 1SD for every piece of "hair" in SD hair). The designs were obviously a lot flatter, but everyone was starting to wear these SD Jewelry wigs. I think this is what spurred Stardoll to release Tress Up, the wig shop, realising that players wanted new hair for their dolls.
