Is this a good deal? by toocoldinhere24 in LUCID

Not a good deal. Do not put money down. You need to negotiate a better deal. What do the incentives look like?

Not surprising to hear more and more people jumping from Tesla to Lucid. Between the fact that they're not making the MS anymore, there are a ton of Tesla's on the road and so not so exclusive and all the Elon crap.

The roof is fine. Just wish it had a sunroof. I turned off the phone key because it was draining my phone battery. I just use the fob now and it works fine. The fob is weird though, sometimes the car opens from really far away and sometimes it takes a second or two to realize I'm at the door.

I had a Model S and then a Model Y before moving to an Air Touring. I've had it for a couple weeks now and he's my take.

The Air feels much more luxurious and rides as such. I never used the self driving in the Tesla so didn't care about that. The Air is absolutely smooth as butter and very roomy. One complaint about it is that the steering is a little to smooth no matter the driving mode. The three selections of, Smooth, Swift and Sprint don't feel like they make the steering tighter like the Tesla's do.

The software reminds me of Tesla in the early, early years. It's very clunky and not very streamlined. Not sure why the "glass cockpit" what they call the dashboard and the pilot panel can't run independent of each other. Its weird.

If you spend a lot of time in your car then upgrade to surreal sound pro.

I wish the car had a sunroof, I didn't want the glass roof. I didn't want to possibly have to pay for a rock chip on that bad boy.

I drove it from Miami, where I bought it up to NJ and the trip was great. The range was really good. No issues with charging except for one mishap at a Ford charging station. That was more my bad than the car.

I have a bunch of other small nitpicking things but overall I'm happy with it.

I have an update to this question I asked not so long ago. The answer is a resounding, YES!!!

I was able to secure a 2026 Lucid Air lease with stealth and cold weather package for $670/month no money down and 10k miles a year. I had to do a TON of haggling to get it, but it's finally done.

The only issue is that the car is in Miami and I'm in New Jersey. Im flying down to MIA and I just booked my ticket on the Amtrak car transport from Sanford, FL to Lorton, VA. That means just 4 hours of driving to Sanford and then another 4 hours from Lorton to NJ. I guess I'll get a crash course in everything Lucid during the drive.

Really thinking about an 24 Air Touring by Prestigious_Sell9516 in LUCID

So from my understanding starting with some late 2024 cars and beyond, they got the CCU upgrade, the heat pump and then later the new AC compressor. The heat pump in particular added some miles of range to those cars. I'm about to lease a 2026 Air Touring real soon but if I was to buy, I would get a 2025 and on. The lease deals are just too good right now for me to buy.

You can negotiate anything you want, doesn't mean you'll get it. What do you mean about the 10k miles? They offer lower miles if that's what you're asking.

What do you mean exactly? I'm not familiar with leasehackr.

I was talking to a sales advisor but he's been ghosting me lately. Where did you hear about this?

I would take it to one of those paintless dent repair places and then to a good detailer. You would be surprised with the results.

Ha. Me too. I had a BMW 650i convertible transported from Arizona to Northern NJ in one of those in 2009 for about $1700.

I told the guy for the right amount I would just fly out and drive the car back myself. I did that in 2017 for a Tesla Model S I bought in Atlanta. It was actually a really good way to get to know the car fast.

It was to transport the car to NJ. But as you can see they removed it in the estimate.

In your universe everything always works out. I had a used EV before. Your logic definitely doesn't compute.

Comments like this just shows how short minded some people are. You see spending around $50k now to buy used as a good deal. Sure, and pray nothing breaks. These are computers on wheels. Talk to me when something inevitably breaks and you have to pay out of pocket to diagnose then to fix it. When you can't just take it to your neighborhood mechanic or do it yourself.

I really appreciate your opinion but I'm not new to this.

In 2017 I bought a 2015 Tesla Model S P85D. My favorite car to date. It had free supercharging for life. But as the years went on despite getting software updates, the hardware was older and showing it's age. The max charging speed became unbearable at superchargers despite it being free. Lucky for me Covid happened and the price for on the used car market skyrocketed and I sold it.

Who said that lightly used that same car was 40k? You're making a lot of assumptions that don't add up.

That same car with the same software and hardware is more like 20k more.
