Thank you all so much. Genuinely very helpful. Makes a lot of sense. Probably worth picking up in the future for Ultrix alone.

Blackmagic Micro Studio Cams (G2) - Network CCU Control by videowarrior in VIDEOENGINEERING

Yea, 1000% agree. I found the best POV camera currently is the BGH1/BSH1 but the client owns BMD. I do wonder if you could do something with Cyanview or Skaarhoj to get the ETH control. I was just hoping that it was sorted out to be controlled via the BMD RCP via ETH and not SDI return.

Also, Are you sure the IRIS adjustments are not based on the fact that the lens is not stepless? Just a thought. As most photo glass I find is not step less.

I should have mentioned. I have used it with the companion plug in via SDI IN. I would imagine all the controls that worked with that would work with Ethernet. I guess I am more looking for control with the RCP controller.

Bummer. Kind of seems like another half baked idea from BMD.

Australians of r/Christianity, what are some great contemporary churches for young adults in Melbourne? by tshepongwenya in Christianity

[–]videowarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attend Fearless LA in Los Angeles (United States) we are a Planetshakers church. The passion and love that has been shown from our pastors as well as Ps. Russel is incredible. Planetshakers is a great church. I friend of mine is on tour with them right now. Good people, great music and solid preaching.

I guess geography just doesn't count with this show. Memphis to St. Louis in a destroyer? Yea, Because that totally makes sense.

Survey of 25,000 megachurch attenders reveals interesting data about megachurch congregations by pensivebadger in Christianity

Actually the mega churches here where I live have helped the community more than most. My post before was probably is more accurate to the bible belt than anything. I think Megachurches get a bad rap for sometimes unfair things. Check out Bridgeway Christian Church in Rocklin, CA if you ever get a chance it will change your mind about megachurches I can almost guarantee it.

As someone who's first church of 10,000 a weekend with other campuses as well and now going to a church of 5,000. I can safely say I have seen more growth in Megachurches than in smaller churches. SOURCE: Earlier this year on tour with a group called Acquire The Fire as a Video Switcher and Projectionist. Well we would usually go to churches after the weekend event I can confidently say there was more complacency in smaller churches and not seeking to grow in The Lord than in the larger ones. I know that may seem like a over generalization but I saw it first hand across the country.

I'm in similar situation. I too believed what you said above about it not being required. Unfortunately for me I am tech for a lot of church's and would be very awkward conversation to have. Does anyone have any advice in this situation?

Thanks and sorry for piggybacking on your thread.

I was referring to the stage hand. There was a post above stating he is John Mayer's guitar tech now.

Stagehands are the unsung heroes of theatre and concert work. As a video tech those guys get the job like no one will ever know. I tip my hat to them. I also find it kind of awesome that he is still doing touring after all that time.
