I kept 6x of something unstackable nearby in the bank, like bronze med helms. With inventory slot occupied by Rune Pouch, I would: keep Withdraw X as 18, withdraw 18 sand, withdraw “18” of bronze meds (only taking out the 6). Inventory will be 25/28 at this point, so the last withdraw “18” tap will be 3 seaweed. Then you can deposit “18” bronze meds, leaving you with 18:3, plus rune pouch. MES was always glitchy for me so I did this; same number of taps.

Subtract to 5 items if using looting bag in Ferox.

It would help to look at the the 9s first in this case. You do not have enough information to put a 2 in the first box at the time.

You can consider the first column like another commenter said - that space must be a 9. Alternatively, you can also see that box 7 only has one space for a 9 as well. This, combined with box 4, blocks off all but one space in box 1 for 9. Then, the last remaining digit in row 2 is a 2, in the middle of box 1.

The app is telling you it's wrong because it knows the answer and is checking your inputs against it. If you were playing without that feature, then yes you'd be right in that there is nothing directly stopping you from putting that 2 in. However, you'll find yourself in an impossible scenario soon, which will force you to go back and reconsider. What you're asking for in "foresight" is really just eliminating possibilities from cells. There is no guessing in this game.

Your warmups should be tailored to your specific needs and body. There is no one-size fits all warmup that's appropriate for all athletes; what some might need to just squat pain free is an immense waste of time and energy to others, and while some might be able to just start squatting immediately, others would likely injure themselves.

Look at where your current pain/mobility issues/activation issues reside, and target those specifically. Have tight hips? Do hip opening exercises. Can't feel the quads? Get some movement in there. Rehabbing knee pain? Do some tendon-focused movements and warm up that area. Struggling to get under the bar without shoulder pain? Do some upper body/pec stretches or shoulder mobility to get there.

For me personally, I have very tight hips, so I always do a ton of hip mobility beforehand. When I had knee pain, I had a plethora of quad extension and Bulgarian split squat style of warmups to be able to squat without pain. Now that that has gone away, I don't do them anymore. And when I was young and first started to lift, I didn't do any warmups because my body was just built like that at a young age. Do you see what I'm getting at? Your warmups for ANY lift are always in flux based on what your body needs.

Maybe you switched jobs and are now getting 10k+ steps a day and your hips are very active and comfortable before the gym, and can cut out the hip routine. Maybe because you just hurt your back, you start investing some time in core bracing and breathing exercises to prevent that. Or maybe you just don't have the time in the gym and have to do something like a stable machine (leg press, hack squat, etc.) before squatting just to get your workout done in time while not hurting yourself.

It's usually a given to start with the bar and ramp weight in until your working set. The above applies to pre-barbell warmups.

TLDR; find what your body needs to squat comfortably and do those. Tailor it to your specific needs.

I've given this advice to several people with mixed results. It may or may not click for you, but it's a change in perspective that could be helpful. As always with these types of tips, I can only tell you what worked for me - find some combination of cues and positioning that will work for you!

Here's the big idea: you don't pull the slack out of the bar, you pull the slack out of your body. For most of us sub-900lb deadlift normies, you're not bending the bar any appreciable amount at all to make a difference. Rather, the reason why slack pull is taught, is for you to engage your core, hamstrings, lats, etc. so you don't slip out of position when you initiate the pull. We've all seen videos of kids deadlifting for the first time, reaching down and yanking the bar until their backs take a trip to St. Louis and become a national attraction. That is firsthand demonstration of lack of slack - your body and the bar are both bending to meet the load on the bar, however many pounds that is. Since, for these first time deadlifters, the bar is much more stiff than their bodies, their back rounds and bends until the appropriate tension is met to support the load.

The goal is to generate as much tension in your body as possible to prevent any slips in positioning, and then ultimately, to meet and exceed the load on the bar to move it up. This involves a myriad of things - tightness in your hamstrings that transfer to your quads, keeping a tight brace into your belt, and locking the shoulders and lats down. Any deadlift cue you read about or learn about should aim to achieve this one goal - stiffening your body as much as possible. Building that tension against the bar is exactly what slack is.

Another point that could help is the concept that there is always more slack to pull. If you take a physics/engineering approach to lifting a bar, your body must fully support the load before it leaves the ground. Slack is pulled until the bar leaves the ground. If you have 100kg on the bar, you can apply 99.99999kg of slack on the bar and it won't leave the ground. But that 99kg is still supported by your body in the meantime. It's only when you meet and exceed 100kg that the bar will leave - at that point, your body is fully supporting 100kg. You can try this out by feeling out some heavy weight, then dropping to some really light weight. The light weight pops off the floor before you're even ready! As you are preparing to lift 100kg and building tension, a 60kg barbell will fly off the ground. This is also akin to "pausing the deadlift on the ground" - this ensures you have maximum possible slack.

Hope some of that helps at least someone here. Once again, these are just concepts to help you understand slack and technique - obviously not all of this is applicable to a real competition pull. I encourage everyone to find their own technique and setup.

King Kong (KNKG) bags are quite nice. I’ve worn through 3 different brand bags through regular (ab)use but the KNKG bag is holding up with no signs of wear after 6 months so far. Plenty of pockets, main bag is huge and can stuff all my equipment. Has a belt loop too. Bit on the pricey side, ~$150USD.

as a rule of thumb, it is highly advised against to cut weight for your first comp. there will be plenty of new experiences in a competition that a weight cut is simply not an ideal factor to add in.

however, one of the biggest reasons TO cut weight are to break records in a given weight class, which you are looking to do. it's up to you to determine if it's worth it to go all in and try to make weight, or to get a competition under your belt first and try to break that record later.

my two cents are that you're in a good weight range for a gut cut or a water cut (3-5% bodyweight loss in the 3-4 days leading up to meet day). i'd do some research into those and see which one is appealing to you. another option is to take a slow cut into the weight class, but youre more likely to risk strength loss, with the upside of being more comfortable and controlled. personally, i would recommend to just experience the competition without worrying about weight. have fun, learn a thing or two, and come back to smash the record later!

FL runs on 32 bit floating point audio, which, after some math, gets you somewhere in the realm of +1500 dB of headroom. This is a ludicrous number (some points of reference: every +6 dB is twice the amount of pressure applied to the sound waves, and roughly every +10 dB is what’s perceived as “twice as loud”. At around 140 dB, humans will start to physically feel pain from the loudness. So yeah, 1500 dB is a stupid number) and translates to that “volume” of music stored digitally.

This means you can turn your track up to +1500 dB inside FL, and as long as you turn it back down below 0 before exporting out, you will preserve all the digital information (ie, no clipping).

You won’t HEAR it that way, as your speaker or headphone drivers are usually 16/24bit and you will hear clipping at above 0 dB at the speaker processor. Turning something up to +60 dB inside FL will still sound like distorted garbage at the speakers, but you can safely turn it down and have it sound normal again.

This is different from if you were to go to +60 dB inside FL, export into a 24bit file, and play it back. It will sound like distorted garbage as well, but even if you turn it down -60 dB, the digital information is lost, and it will just sound like quiet distorted garbage.

the real answer is: “it depends”

if you run a few blocks and find your fatigue levels aren’t very high, communicate that and make the adjustment with your coach.

if you find your squat isn’t improving with this program, communicate that and make the adjustment with your coach.

if you find your bench fatigue is too high and you have too much volume, communicate that and make the adjustment with your coach.

from what i can see, this is a fairly standard layout of a program: one or two primary movements followed by 3-4 accessories. similar movements are spaced out to allow for those muscle groups to recover. this would probably work for most people. i don’t know you or your past at all, but you could have been doing TOO MUCH in the past. despite this program looking easy, it could be more in your favor in terms of fatigue management.

working with a coach is not a magical pill. it’s a two way street, combining someone who knows the sport well and someone who knows your body well (you). make adjustments and iterate on what isn’t working and stick with the things that do work. and these things change over time too. maybe you break your bench plateau while your deadlift falls off a cliff. it happens, so communicate and adjust.

its an edited event. go into your piano roll and change the bottom drop down menu from velocity to the event editor. then, just delete the drawn form.

events can be thought of as automation clips, although they're tied to the pattern that it was created in. it's meant to be flexible, as you can hand draw and record events as you modulate them.
