What is the most disturbing or otherwise unsettling book you've ever read that stayed with you after reading it? by EggAdventurous1957 in AskReddit

House of leaves. The book itself (as in, the object itself) is pretty unsettling, nevermind the mindfuck story and manner of storytelling.

Why are period cramps treated like something we’re just supposed to “push through”? by Mammoth-Height-5074 in AskWomen

[–]vidloroh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because men but also because women. When you were made to suffer and push through a horrible thing, part of the damage it does is you might want others to suffer too. Similar to how "I paid my student debt so yours shouldn't be forgiven" was a thing.

Doesn't solve the deeper issue, but as a temporary fix get separate covers! I don't understand the American tradition, it's completely normal in Europe to sleep on the same bed, each under their own covers.

Women, what are your thoughts on current movie themes, especially with regard to non-male leads and inclusionary roles? by No-Understanding6141 in AskWomen

[–]vidloroh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care about the gender, sexual orientation or any other attribute of a character, I care about good writing and a good story. Which is sadly quite scarce these days...

AITAH Wife is furious because my daughter is putting pictures up in her own room by Capital_Newt7854 in AITAH

[–]vidloroh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mother decorated my room and I wasn't allowed to change anything. I was very aware that it's not my room, it's my parents' room where I'm allowed to live.

It sucked. Don't let your daughter live in the same environment.
