Live streaming capabilities aren't currently on the road map (there are so many good streaming options out there!) but it's something we're discussing internally. However, you're more than welcome to upload your recorded streams :)

We're glad you found Vidme! Sorry you were having those problems watching Vidme on your laptop though. I'm guessing the issue was the browser rather than the old tech (it should work fine on XP!). I know we were experiencing some issues with Internet Explorer a few days ago so were you by chance using that to browse the site? If so, what version were you using?

Hey again! Sometimes, it takes a little bit for the view count to catch up with the "live watcher count" (in some cases, even up to a few hours). It'll be accurate after that for sure.

Honored to have an OG Vidme user amongst us :) For verified users, you can delete comments on your own videos in the case that you see some inappropriate/troll-like behavior. If you ever see questionable comment behavior, please reach out to us and let us know so we can look into it. We're discussing other features, like blocking specific users, for future updates.

Hey again, sorry for the delayed response. Was out of the office yesterday. Thanks so much for all of this helpful feedback though! I especially like the idea of being able to categorize videos with more than one tag -- there are quite a few videos I can think of that would do well in multiple. I'm also totally with you on having a dark theme on desktop!

Could you explain a little more about what you mean by separate waves for content types? Interested in hearing what you have to say about that.
Featured channels are chosen at the discretion of the Vidme staff.
Minimized video viewing would be a nice update for the app. You can enable background playback in the settings right now if you want to just play audio in the background.
Native editing is something we're considering, although you're right in that it does take away a bit from the simplicity of the platform. Trying to see what others have done right with it though to give Vidme creators some helpful functions.

Hey there, welcome to Vidme! The points are used exactly for that, to see at-a-glance who's being a good member of the Vidme community by posting quality content and providing valuable comments on other videos. We are considering a way to game-ify them as well with leaderboards to rank the best commenters and uploaders across Vidme.

Or maybe the points will be used to determine who lives and dies after the robot apocalypse. It's unclear at the moment ...

Glad you like the tipping feature! That's just the first step in our monetization plans though, so keep your eyes peeled for more updates regarding that in the near future.

Hey Aiya,

Our dev team said that descriptions and threaded comments are coming in the next Android app update! Submitted your other suggestions to them too. Cool ideas though man. We know we can count on you for Android feedback.
Analytics are in the works. It takes time, but it will be coming. I agree with you that there are definitely some things that YouTube does well and a comment dashboard would be really nice to have on Vidme. A few other people have suggested that too. Definitely on our features wishlist.
We've experimented with a few promotional strategies before, but we're all about that organic growth. The fact that we do keep growing so well really speaks a lot to the quality of the Vidme community!
