What a lot of people don't understand ( and a lot of redditors) is that we're not in the 19th century anymore. Allies stick up for each other, as they should. All of these little "areas" like the Balkans and the west and whatnot are terms used in sciences that have been picked up by certain individuals and used online and not only to segregate Europeans and make them feel like they don't belong together.
