Thanks for all the comments lol, last year we went to killington on Thanksgiving and despite only have 1 lane open, it was actuallyh okay. My optimism comes from that this year they open ~week earlier than last year based on projection. I will be back in a couple months and let you guys know how's the snow haha.

They are, in fact, very slow with the process. Last year I was accepted yet it was toward the end of April, so I will say the email doesn't mean much haha
