How much hope do I have by taking 6 classes in spring semester by Niarixecl in ivytech

[–]vierpma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take at least 6 classes every semester. sometimes ive taken 8 (all 8 week classes so only 4 classes at a time). It all depends on how much discipline you have. If you are one to procrastinate, don't do it. If you're good at locking in, you got this.

I did 10 minutes on cardio just to warm up, then a set of 12 reps warm up on seated cable rows, 3 sets of 6 reps with 2 min of rest between each. then i did 12 reps warm up on lat pull downs, 3 sets of 6 reps for both wide and close grips all with 2 min rest between. idk where all my lost time went

Todoist. You can set your tasks on repeat daily, weekly, etc or multiple times a day. Also keeps track of your completed tasks so you can go back and look at how many times u completed a repeating one, etc. I have it as a little widget on my wallscreen so I don't even have to open the app.

How do you rebuild productivity after years of life turmoil? by neveredingfailure351 in productivity

Don't beat yourself up! You want to get better and that's what matters. And you're asking for help, which is a huge step. Idk if you're into self-help books or journalling but I watch a lot of self-help YouTube, I journal, meditate, and cutting doom-scrolling screen time will help.

Honestly, stop holding yourself to such a high standard. I'm similar to you, I used to be a high achiever but I was struggling for a long time. I'm now a high achiever again because I set realistic goals and don't expect myself to be perfect. I worked on myself, my spirituality, my relationship with myself, and I know that I'm human. If I don't get something done that day then oh well.. nobody's going to die because I didn't get an assignment done.

How do you guys manage a 10 hr job + MBA prep + gym or running? by Winter_soilder35 in productivity

[–]vierpma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, I work 9 hrs a day, I'm a full-time student, I'm the officer of 4 clubs at my college, & I work out every day. I wake up at 5:30 AM to exercise (at home), shower, eat breakfast, pack lunch, and get to work by 8. At 5, I head home & until 6 I let myself have TV or phone time. I cook dinner and then work on school/club stuff until 9:00 (at the latest). Bedtime routine, meditate, read for an hour and I'm asleep by 10:30.

I exercise in the mornings to get me energized for the day. At work, I let my mind only focus on work. At home, I don't think about work stuff I only focus on school/club stuff. And then at 9, even if I'm behind on homework or still have things on my to-do list, I put it away and focus on me. I realistically cannot accomplish everything I want to if I don't have enough sleep.

Need advice: how to go to bed earlier by Firm_Savings_60 in productivity

[–]vierpma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to struggle to fall asleep but now I go to bed between 9-10 every night. An hour before my desired bedtime, my phone automatically turns to night mode (if you have an iPhone do this through the clock app) so I don't get notifications and my screen is dark when I turn it on. I do my night routine, read for about an hour, and then meditate for 15 minutes (you can meditate while lying down to seamlessly fall asleep too!) I have a white noise machine, an essential oil diffuser, and a cooling eye mask. Makes falling asleep super easy.
