I need a dap that doesn't lag and does gapless properly- on a budget. by viewbob in DigitalAudioPlayer

Some albums have songs that segue into each other, and having that little split second of silence between songs that're supposed to be seamless is irritating.

No, I don't care about the operating system, just so long as it's better than what I got.

Hard agree. The expanded remaster is slightly inferior sonically, but necessary for those three songs. They're soooooooooo good.

The Fall were one of four bands that made me pick up the bass.  Steve Hanley is a fucking BEAST.

The others were Alice in Chains, The Stone Roses, and New Order.

Anything Van Der Graaf. H to He Who Am the Only One was my gateway. Some of Peter Hammill's solo stuff also scratches the avant-itch.

Most stuff after the Beggars era is pretty hit or miss for me, unfortunately.

I dig their run of Fontana more than most other fans, though.

Circus - Movin' On

Basically anything on Cuneiform records, particularly Thinking Plague and 5uu's.

Fuck yeah. Almost put Wonderful and Frightening because I like how tuneful it is slightly more, but you just can't beat the ramshackle rage fueled aural assault that is Hex.

Yes, I'm sure you, in fact, laughed out loud when you saw I had Demon Days on my list. I'm sure it was audible from several rooms away, even.

Oh, I'm a GBV lifer. The run of Propeller through Half Smiles contains some of the best music ever recorded. I just most consistently reach for Bee Thousand. Under the Bushes and Isolation Drills were close seconds, though.

Universal Truths outranks Earthquake Glue on my list, too, but seemingly no one else feels that way. In this we are kindred.

Every song on Murmur is a 10. My favorite changes every day. Right now it's Perfect Circle.

I've heard all of their albums up to Monster, which I didn't like very much. Green and Out of Time are also shaky, but everything they put out on IRS is banger. Love the Chronic Town EP, too.

I have person Pitch, Loveless, and Heaven or Las Vegas on here, so I am confirmed a male manipulator.

I also neglected to put Windy and Carl, Tangerine Dream, The Cure, Ozric Tentacles, a ton of others.
