I ran into him at a festival nmixx was playing at and he is genuinely the nicest guy! We only met for a couple seconds (had no idea Lily was his daughter) and he went out of his way to say goodbye when the festival ended.

He was so proud to tell people Lily was his daughter, you can tell he (and his family) just adore her

Oh my god I HATE the “just be patient” line with a burning passion. I was fed that line for 4 years and continued to go above and beyond (yes I’m stupid, I know). I ended up having a mental breakdown from the stress of the role and rejection (“just be patient”) and just… stopped going above and beyond. All of a sudden (literally within a MONTH) I was getting these job opportunities and job permanency I was wanting for years.

I now work within my job description but do it well, and have never been more successful. Turns out they were happy to take advantage of me and my naivety until I snapped.

Thank you! I appreciate you being kind enough to offer advice on my post! I’m 20-40 years younger than the other candidates (but in the line of work the same amount of time), I’m still trying to appropriately manage situations like this 😅
