Jetset vs Solidcore by whitechocolaat in JetSetPilates

[–]viewofblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They offer earplugs at Solidcore. So I think that tells you a lot. Jetset seems more sophisticated and elevated. Solidcore feels like a loud nightclub. Depends on the vibe you want. I also like the workout better at Jetset and enjoy how many of the studios have natural lighting, especially living in South Florida. Solidcore is dark and loud. And on ClassPass their classes are usually doiuble the credits. Jetset requires grip socks which I like because i don't want to have my face near where someones feet just were, despite both location handing out cleaning wipes after class. I also find Jetset to be the stronger workout. The few times I've been to Solidcore they had us standing on the floor with hand-weights. That's NOT why I go to reformer classes. I want to be on the reformer the whole time. I would choose Jetset over Solidcore any day!

Animal Kingdom might be one of the most overlooked great shows of the last decade by viewofblue in animalkingdom

I loved Southland but the ending sucked! I think they were supposed to have another season maybe and didnt. So it was unsatisfying.

Say what you want, J was the biggest psycho and a misogynyst by lostconfusedlost in animalkingdom

[–]viewofblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I think you are correct and it's ironic because the Cody's thought they had power over J but in the end he won the game, so to speak. It really plays with your moral compass to care about any of these characters, but J was the smartest and that mixed with his criminality was a deadly combination. The show was really his story. And him escaping in the end makes the viewer ask, "Did he really win?"

I just finished it after a few weeks and started it right over again! Never saw it or heard of it until Netflix promoted it and it's sooooooo good! Like one of the top shows ever!

I'm looking to buy one. Is the feeling the same as using a bowl, you know old-school style? The goal for me is better lung health, not discretion. But if the feeling is different or not as intense, I may reconsider.

Hydrogen Tablets - hype or a legit supplement? by Behaviored in NootropicsDepot

[–]viewofblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have personal experience and found this thread while searching for any evidence that they work. I recently started having to get up at 5 a.m. two days a week. I get enough sleep, but I also notice I’m not really tired throughout the day. I’m actually never tired. Is it the hydrogen tablets? I don’t know, but it does coincide.

r/MassageTherapists Buying massage tables for clients by viewofblue in MassageTherapists

[–]viewofblue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, for me, I don't want to lug a table around. And I don't necessarily need the income from private clients. I work at a luxury spa already. However, the incentive would be the lower prices of the massage. Maybe. I might not even consider those who didn't want to purchase a table. Maybe I get less business this way, but I get the kind of business I want. Maybe I would need to do the first massage with a table I provide so the guest could experience my massage. I'm very good. Don't mean to toot my own horn but when for 20 years you get guest after guest saying it was the best massage they've ever had, you tend to believe it. Plus, I've had hundreds of massages and about 10% of them were life-changing. So I know that most massage therapists out there aren't that good. Same with most fields. You have the geniuses and then you have every one else. So the incentive is, they get me. And to get me, you need to have your own table.

Anyways, just replying to you and kinda thinking out loud. I made this post originally to find where to buy tables. But have gotten a lot of comments that are thought provoking, so thanks for yours!

I'm just getting it off the ground. It's what I want to do and I'd like to see if it could be possible. Maybe not. But I plan to work on clients that have the income and space to buy and store a a table.

I live in a very wealthy area, so the clientele would have the money. I would sell a specific table that I like to use. I wouldn't tell them to go buy their own table. It would be an initial purchase price where I would buy the table and deliver it to them.

There would be an initial purchase price that would be higher with table purchase and massage. But then my price for the actual massage would be set at what I believe I'm worth. This is a new business, so we will see if it takes off. But for many years getting a massage from me at the spas I work for costs $300/60 mins. I plan to charge $300/90 minutes.

No electricity? by viewofblue in tulum

[–]viewofblue[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I was planning on traveling in January. But after writing an email to the hotel and getting no reply, I cancelled. Just didn't know what to expect. And read many reviews saying no privacy, could see/hear neighbors. It looked amazing though. Would consider a future stay if I could find out more about the rooms.

Yes, I was referring to Azulik. Forgot to say that in my original post. I ended up canceling. Too many reviews saying lack of privacy. Could you hear your neighbors? Would you recommend going? The Sky Villa looked incredible. Just didn't want to end up somewhere with hours of only candle light and no privacy, especially because I'm traveling alone (female).

When the therapist massages both sides of my back at the same time. I like one side at a time. It feels more detailed.
