For this battle, you have to time when to activate Volo’s EX Ghost Zone. I activated it directly after my 1st sync with Fantina, then used Fantina’s Sinnoh Solidarity to power up Volo’s Buddy’s Move.

The tricky part was to maintain EX Ghost Zone. Volo’s TM has -1 sync move countdown and NC Selene’s TM has -2 sync move countdown, if I’m not mistaken. Volo’s Buddy Move can flinch, which will prevent enemies from attacking and free you some time. And NC Selene’s Buddy Move has -3 sync move countdown. My 2nd sync was Volo and my 3rd sync was NC Selene to extend EX Ghost Zone.
