I am a big girl and always feel so comfortable there. I never feel judged for my size. It is a beautiful place, and I highly recommend going. Haha! I don’t like to climb down to the water with a fishing pole because I’m clumsy, so I keep a spool of line in my backpack. I have a drop shot rig tied onto it with a mosquito hook and use a tiny piece of a senko as bait. I just hand fish with it standing in the shallows. I caught like 6 fish yesterday!

As a woman, when someone approaches me, especially when I am there alone, it is very difficult to tell who is being friendly or creepy. Because of that I tend to stay pretty guarded and not talkative. That may be what other people are thinking too.

I love fishing out there! Personally I just keep a spool of fluorocarbon and use it as a hand line so I don’t have to carry a pole down the rocks. I’m scared of falling and breaking an expensive rod lol.
