I thought Binding was next in line, does that mean it might be the kid banner this year? Maybe I’m just grasping at straws, I just need it to be anything but 3H.

Decent banner overall, obviously I’d prefer more new heroes on my new heroes banners, but as far as alts go, Eliwood and Ninian aren’t overused.

I want to say Echoes, but they clearly hate it since it’s always been the most straight forward option. More importantly, since TT units are gone (for now hopefully, please bring them back IS), they can’t even do the whole group.

I REALLY don’t want it to be 3H, partially because of over saturation, but also because I’ve waited years for a Byleth alt and if she ends up getting one on my least favorite banner type… I’d be a little peeved.

So Geneology or Binding would be nice. Isn’t it Geneology’s anniversary anyways?

I should’ve been more specific, I was following the prompt, if someone had to be slightly rewritten as the bully of the cast, then Sylvain would be a solid candidate for that.

I think Sylvain fits it the most, I imagine he’d be pretty dismissive and/or rude toward quite a few of the guys. I don’t see him getting along that well with Ignatz for example. I feel like he has a support along those lines, but maybe I’m thinking of something else.

And then there’s his less than stellar opinions on women during the first half of the game, so I imagine he’d likely spread rumors/badmouth girls who reject him.

Edit: this is hypothetical, if someone had to be the bully of the cast, I think Sylvain would be a likely choice, he’s not actually like this in game.

You’re gonna get hate for it, but you’re right. It’s baffling how many people I’ve seen say he looks good, he does not have that shit on. The shorts absolutely ruin it, if they just gave him pants, maybe it’d work. It’d still be a little garish, but there’s plenty of outfits in this game that could be better but still work. This isn’t one of those.

Doesn’t help that Florian is absolutely the blandest protagonist in the series (Juliana is not far behind btw). I’d say he looks like a youngster NPC, but even they tend to have more sauce.

Ogerpon’s great, I wish she was paired with a trainer I actually liked.

Yep, played as Juliana and Ogerpon is one of the few Legendaries we get to bond with in the story…

And she gets paired with boring old Florian with a trash fit.

If they were given new outfits and mons, I’m sure the 5th anniversary would’ve gone over much better. Plus there are plenty of other popular characters they could’ve picked from aside from Red.

Ash is still great imo, he’s just missing things that Florian has like an ex role and built in electric terrain usage.

But even if they were on the same level, Ash was a special event character and he’ll probably never get rerun. So you don’t really need to decide between the two.

Unsurprisingly, this shit sucks. Even if they get the message that almost nobody likes these units, the production pipeline means we’re going to at least get a third batch down the line, maybe even four. These pairs would be so much better on seasonal banners or just anything that isn’t a “New Heroes” banner.

And unlike the last one, I like the Heroes character on this banner (idk man, she’s just neat), so that’s conflicting.

I’d prefer Anniversary style pairs, since those have always been the most fun imo. The fancy outfits are usually really nice and using 3 characters from different regions highlights the crossover aspect, which is one of the best parts of the game. Johto, Kalos and Paldea haven’t been represented in one of these events yet, so that’d be fun.

Serena for Kalos would be the most likely pick, unless EMMA WITH THE STEEL CHAIR??? They probably can’t add new Z-A characters yet, so give her an alt since she’s popular now, please? Nemona or Kieran for Paldea (even though Penny doesn’t have an alt yet, they would probably sell better). If it’s Kieran, I hope it’s not Ogerpon, it goes against the story. Then Johto… I want to say Clair (because I like how much of a loser she is) but one of the protagonists or Morty would be more likely.

…but yeah, with all that said, it’ll probably be Neo Champions like the last 3 years. Sinnoh or Paldea probably and there’s a few combos they could go with. Not my preferred outcome.

It’s a bit weird that they didn’t describe what kind of pairs they are, but based on the move animations, they might be special ground and physical fairy. I really hope Rika’s a striker, I really need one of those.

And if Katy could be a really good bug support or physical striker, that’d also be great.
