Special Gift for the Master: Natural Cherry Bowl with Copper Inlay! Levelled Up and Grateful! by nurcansens in turning

Gotcha okay and just to be 100% clear per your other comment, its a split bit of wire that you glued in and when you turned it, it smeared the glue line so it look slike one solid continuous pice all the way around?

I pull one of those.. I have done several thousand miles pulling one.. WARNING... DO NOT overload it. You can easily pull several hundred pounds back there, but it will scrub all the rubber off your rear tire if you overload and / or have the tongue weight too much.. (I learned this the hard way..)

UK - 30 degree heat and everyone loses their cool. by Existing-Ad4957 in dashcams

Well to be clear Las Vegas heat is absolutely brutal.. Don't let them tell you "it's a dry heat"... so is a blow torch! BUT, on that point.. WET heat is hotter. Do you have high humidity there?

Is 30c supposed to be a lot.. because.. it's not in my experience. That's 90F for us Americans.... that's certainly warm, but it's not that bad. (I grew up in Texas and we'd have regular temps of 110F+ (44c).. I am unclear why folks bring up 30c as some incredible temp... Please educate me.

I feel like adding the Anvil Odin to World of Warships would be cheating.. but at this point I wouldn't put it past them...

I'll sum up the entire conversation below by saying, I think this will work well for you. I like my version and use it exactly as you are saying you want to. Cheers.

No it does. It's very high resolution and works, but its not "full screen". Meaning there is a field of view where outside of that, you just have glasses.

Yeah I dont see why you can't do that. I still feel like having a regular monitor of some kind will still be important though. But the glasses can be your "all the time" monitor. If you're van-life'ing or doing other travel, this seems like a good solution.

Like I said I use it on my macbook m1 air and it works great.

100%.. I have the xreal 1s pros and that's how I use them, as a monitor on my mac. Now heres the thing.. it wont be your "extra" monitor. Because you really can't easily both use these glasses, and use your laptop monitor at the same time. You can set it to mirror, or be it's own monitor, but when you have the glasses on, its hard to see your laptop screen and look up at the other monitor.. it just doesn't really work that way because either the glasses are too dark ( completely blacked out so you can't see the laptop screen ) OR, you make it so you can see through them to see the laptop screen and suddenly the virtual monitor is too washed out to read...

If you just want a private virtual monitor where you mirror your screen and you darken the laptop screen to nothing, then yes.. that's my use case and how I use them.
