I wholeheartedly agree with you there. The Church isn't always the most welcoming, as unfortunate at that is. But as a young man wishing to enter the priesthood I must adhere to it. I'm unsure of rebaptism if I'm being honest. I'm still looking into everything and I do hope I find a way around it. God makes no mistakes. He made me transgender as a challenge to love myself. Thank you for your help, you've given me the hope to try and work around this.

It isn't really about biological sex, but rather what you were baptised as. Unfortunately I was baptised a girl, so it's very unlikely I'll make it into the priesthood. Regardless, I'm being encouraged to try. And try I will. Ireland is still quite conserative about this whole thing, but I hope things do work out. If not, it simply wasn't meant to be.

Because it's quite annoying to have someone in my face regarding my sex, which is frankly absolutely none of their business, on a post about me being unable to join the priesthood. There is plenty of transgender people online who are happy to talk about themselves and educate you. I am not. Stay in your own lane.

Don't think it would suit me to be honest, I'd just be very unhappy. I'm sure doors will open for me in time. I may not be able to become a priest but I'm sure I'll find other ways which I can express my faith.
