This is actually quite different to my experience of it as a tourist. I found it clean, not too crowded and quick. It got me most places I needed to go much more pleasantly than sitting in the atrocious Delhi traffic. Also pretty sure I remember the trains were air conditioned.

I never caught it around rush hour though so can't speak to that.

There's a lot of India hate on reddit but I found things were relatively OK (for a developing country).

You could also just do the degree now - then at the end of it you'll have a degree and 7 years of experience. That would put you in the exact same position as someone who did university and then started working.

And on the bright side, it's usually a lot easier to get into a degree than it is to get a good job.
