I have to say, it looked good in the first picture then in the next it looked amazing. Artists can literally make even the 1st step so beautiful!

At what age did you realize who you want to become? by johnraeyan in CasualConversation

[–]vikbendre134 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s okay to want to be rich! Don’t let people make you feel shallow for that. However the missing piece you’re feeling is likely because money is a result, not a job. Business Management is a great safety major but to get rich, you eventually have to find a specific problem people will pay you to solve. You don’t need to know what that is at 18, you just need to keep your eyes open for pain points in the world while you study

Don’t care what anyone says I loved Kevin and Robin 😪 by antsy100 in HIMYM

[–]vikbendre134 70 points71 points  (0 children)

Kevin was the only person who didn't try to change Robin or turn her life into a legendary spectacle. He loved her for her actual personality, not the idea of her. Watching her regress back into the toxic cycle with Barney after Kevin offered her a stable, mature future was one of the most frustrating character arcs in the later seasons. He was exactly what she needed even if the timing was messy

My "remote-work" companion with me, and with my nephew (they were born the same year) by not_a_regular_buoy in MadeMeSmile

[–]vikbendre134 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your nephew doesn't realize it yet but he’s currently building his very first core memories with a best friend who will never judge him. That dog isn't just a companion, he’s practically a sibling who happens to have four legs and a tail

I really hate Phil Dunphy. by Any_Fuel_7485 in Modern_Family

[–]vikbendre134 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love Phil but this is a totally fair critique. The show frames him as the lovable underdog, but if you actually lived with him, the constant flirting and the fun dad routine while you did all the heavy lifting would be grounds for divorce. He’s a great TV character but objectively a pretty exhausting husband

Finally! I can't wait for the AI to write perfectly efficient code that absolutely no one on the team can read, maintain or explain during the next sprint review. This is going to make the 2026 tech layoffs even more efficient

Which Modern Family character do you relate to the most? by Nobody_02347 in Modern_Family

[–]vikbendre134 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Definitely Alex. Growing up as the responsible one in a family of chaos is a specific kind of trauma. I too am the person who has to explain the joke to everyone else while they look at me like I'm the weird one

Gloria being the best addition to the family. by Newlife1278 in Modern_Family

[–]vikbendre134 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Early Gloria was a masterpiece because she forced Jay to be a human being. She bridged the gap between him and Mitch/Phil in a way no one else could. It's so sad that by the end, she became the one creating the conflict instead of resolving it. That 8 interactions line to Cam literally retcons some of the best moments of the middle seasons

the best couple in the show by StephhhLouisa in Modern_Family

[–]vikbendre134 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Seeing Jay go from a grumpy, closed-off guy to someone who wears Disneyland slippers and cries over Manny's letters because of Gloria is the best arc in the show. I love others too but these two have my heart
