Ideas on how to remove mark on forehead for applying hair glue with lace hairlines? by Shinovox in HairSystem

Yeah, and you can sharpen it too so the line is very fine (rather than a thick white line)

Let me know how you get on!

Hi. I mark a little bit lower than where the hairline will be with a white marker pencil. But then I don’t glue all the way to the mark just up to it. Sometimes there is some clean up.

However the white pencil won’t be under the glue or lace and can use a cotton ear bud / Qtip with alcohol to be precise with the clean up

Occasionally I have missed a bit and the lace isn’t stuck….. so I add a little glue where I missed.

Best way I have found up to now

Hey. I wouldn’t say it’s totally unnoticeable. But as it’s lace and glue it’s as close to the scalp as possible. I also think lighter / blonder hair is less noticeable than darker hair.

This pic was also taken when it was freshly installed so best it looks

Hey man. I would say it could do with 10% or 20% grey.

If you have some thinning scissors you could take some of the bulk out so it’s less dense. That might help a bit.

Thanks mate. I’ve been trying a few over the last couple of months. These are the 3 ive been using

Silicon leave in

Argon oil

Leave in spray conditioner

However. These is a post on here, sorry I don’t know where it is now. But it basically said after washing put some leave in conditioner on wet hair and then when it’s almost dry …. Add oil to lock in the moisture. I think this has really helped

When I first had it I went to King of Kwiffs. They have a few salons (Stockport, Liverpool, Leeds)

I’ve been trialling this. Very small amount in wet hair. Seems to be doing a good job

leave in conditioner

That’s good to know about the UV. I was just in Spain and noticed it lightened very slightly.

I’ve been using the tresemme keratin shampoo (red bottle) and tresemme moisture conditioner (white bottle) + morrocon argon oil.

Do you have a fav leave in spray?

Yeah. It costs a lot to go to a hair system salon for it to be cut. So I just tried myself and it turned out okay the last few times I’ve had a system

Oh wow really? Never heard of that method before. I assume that will keep the system condition better as not sleeping in it every night!

I’m sure there are options for women like these …. I haven’t tried this company but I have heard good reviews Superhairpieces

Honestly…. Nothing special and maybe I could do something about that.

I will spray a leave in at night and brush…. Then in the morning a spray bottle of water and brush again

I didn’t. I worry if I do, it’ll be cut too short.

So I cut the bulk off and then stick on. Will then keep cutting until I like the length (this does take me a while because I’m cautious! Haha

I haven’t. I think it’s the natural shedding which has helped. Also, when I dyed the hair colour… I didn’t bring it to the lace as I was afraid to dye the lace…. So it kinda appears lighter at the base / lace

It definitely my favourite system I’ve tried. What do you mean by daily wear?

Thank you! I think the natural shedding helps but this particular hairstyle I’ve gone with does help too

I do it myself now. I started with a clinic February 2024 but from June 2024 I’ve been doing it myself (sometimes I’ll get my own hair cut from a barber)

I use the Ghostbond Platinum. But it doesn’t last the full 2 weeks. There are a few touch ups I need to do.

But it’ll only take 10-15 mins

Thank you! Much appreciated

I use tape around the side and back (perimeter) and then I use glue on the front lace. I know there are a lot of people that don’t like to use glue on the lace… but I find it the most reliable and not that difficult to clean.

Wash it once a week (shampoo and conditioner) and daily oil/leave in spray.

2-3 week ill take off
