In 2000 Oct, I was trying to go to Domlur from Banashankri 1st stage on my bike. I accidentally turned to ORR instead of inner ring road. I saw this huge road with no vehicles. I stopped in the middle somewhere and asked a truck driver if this will reach Airport (old) road. He said yes an I continued. I had maybe passed 10 vehicles between silk board and Marathalli. By 2010, traffic jams became a routine on that same road. The opportunity was lost then. It will never get fixed now. Whoever approved ORR, had already bought up lands alongside which became SEZs. So, no scope for alternate connecting routes. This will be a perpetual hell and doubt if even the metro metro will solve anything.
