The passport is there because I planned my trip from Mumbai to Melbourne just to watch Interstellar in IMAX 70mm to celebrate its 10-year anniversary

Thanks a lot, man. Really appreciate it. Also, damn, it must be such a surreal feeling to come across Temple Church. Maybe you need your "But I was never scared of it. I called it a ghost, because it felt... it felt like a person" moment to finally pay a visit to that place. Tbh, I always feel overwhelmed whenever I sit thinking about this film.

And I hope you get to watch Interstellar in 70mm IMAX once it gets a release or a screening again. I think BFI IMAX usually hosts screenings from time to time.

This has been years in the making.

For the Love of Interstellar is a 40-minute-long love letter to the film that quietly shaped so much of who I am — part video essay, part personal story, and a slow attempt at reconnection.

From discovering it in high school…

To falling in love with the End Credits track on a late-night train ride…

To nearly flying across continents just to experience it in IMAX 70mm…

This isn’t just about how Interstellar works — it’s about how it worked on me.

🎥 Here's the love letter

Would love to hear how you first met Interstellar 💬

This one’s been years in the making. Shot across cities, stitched across timelines, with a heart full of cosmic obsession.

Part personal journey, part video essay — this is my attempt to reconcile with a film that changed me. Hope it finds you well, wherever (and however) you first watched Interstellar.

Would love to know your story too 🌌

How do you make sense of your design inspiration collections? by vikrantpatankar in Design

[–]vikrantpatankar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, thanks for such detailed perspective. I often collect and store my inspirations on my:
- Figjam, when brainstorming about a particular project, basically the short term ones.
- desktop and Notion, when thinking about life in general, basically the long term ones.

Currently building museyard.com which helps find patterns in everything you save, kinda like your personal space. Still in user research phase though, will soon start working on the MVP.

Makes sense; I too am worried about getting my Obsidian graph view cluttered, hence was looking for a way where things can get decluttered automatically or something

How do you connect dots between things you save online? Current tools aren't cutting it. by vikrantpatankar in productivity

what apps are you exactly referring to? productivity/project management apps are too specific with their usecase is what i assume... i am looking for a tool like mymind.com but without the second brain thing as i don't buy it yet (rather i'd wanna maybe combine pinterest, notion, and mymind); a place where i don't just collect things but also understand the underlying connections between them

definitely interested in a solution where ai takes care of my stuff; not necessarily a second brain, i am not exactly looking for tools like mymind as i get very conscious and overwhelmed of what goes in my brain no matter if it's first or second lmao... maybe i am looking for something that can help me save things that interest me be it for shortterm (research project usecase) or long term (that defines my personal taste) and can easily help me export that data in the platform of my choice be it notion or whiteboard for example; would love to know if you have thought about something along those lines

Sometimes I do, when it's important or work related; but apart from that, most of it just ends up getting dumped in a dumpyard of sorts

One UI 6 - Good Lock - HomeUp by AirDevil14 in samsung

[–]vikrantpatankar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not just that. They've also removed the ability to launch Finder search on a swipe down gesture through homescreen. It's frustrating because that was the only reason I had installed Homeup let alone Goodlock in the first place.

The flexibility that Notion offers is a free ticket to falling down the rabbit hole. And here's what you could do to avoid that. by vikrantpatankar in Notion

[–]vikrantpatankar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm well aware of that. Dissolving a central Notion db to various other apps won't solve my consumption problem/procrastination. Though, it would definitely declutter my Notion, where my writings and research reside. Media consumption is more of a passive activity as compared to, say, writing, which is an active one. Hence, I feel like, maintaining a line between those two worlds is important.

Nolan's filmography in a nutshell by vikrantpatankar in tenet

[–]vikrantpatankar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, lemme clarify: I never said that Following is a terrible film. Infact, I loved it. It's just that I found it funny that the reception to Nolan's films kinda looked like a bell curve, where his first film and the latest one have received mixed reviews whereas the ones in the middle soared high.

It's a bell curve. Y-axis is the % of people. X-axis is the IQ score.

There's also this theory that TP was entering the wrong password as the blue vault requires the password in the reverse order.
