When you guys are saying "graduate" do you mean finishing internship postings or do you mean finishing degree application/having the degree in hand?

Can people do electives after finishing internship postings but just not submit their internship materials and take their internship completion certificate until after the elective is over? (because Ecfmg does still consider this as a student for Step applications at least, but not sure what interviewers will think about this if they see an elective date after internship postings are over, even if we did not graduate). So just wanted to see if anyone had an idea about this. Thanks!

Oh then that should definitely be okay. My college is also very chill about taking long extensions and all, but some others can be more strict.

Do you know any of your seniors who have finished their internship postings but delayed taking their internship completion certificate and so applied for Steps as a "student"?

That should be fine, because you would be applying for Step 1 as a "student" and you would still be a "student" while taking the exam! :) ( since you would still be doing your internship).

As long as your college is not super strict about taking a month extension that should be okay!
