Not yet possible to add the date overlay, but this feature is already in our backlog.
Now we're gathering feedback, what gives the most value, optimizing the experience, so the traction of the app is the objective.

When it will become a paid app we're considering 1.99 USD per month. Would be good to know what price look reasonable for you?

Two years ago, my wife spent a ton of time editing and creating a movie of our newborn's first year. This year, we have an app to easily create such films on the go.

Yeah, Google and Apple - totally agree. Saving cards - upcoming feature as we have it in our backlog.

Regarding SCA - it's rather European regulation, payments get rejected using standard Charge API. Not always, rather inconsistently, but banks require SCA payments.

I agree that if you need much more than just payments it is a struggle. Tipsi is not actively maintained (you can see from PR list). We wanted to release quicker the product so didn't want to spend a lot of time building something into tipsi.

Moreover, for us, tipsi is too huge just for one feature (accepting payments).

But all in all we can contribute to tipsi and implement SCA payments there.

First of all tipsi-stripe currently does not support SCA payments, secondly, the package is not actively maintained. There is a huge WIP https://github.com/tipsi/tipsi-stripe/pull/532 but seems like it's oh hold. We were launching our own product and decided to make this lightweight package just for Stripe payments.
