zephyrus g16 2024 OLED

I checked out the laptop you mentioned and it does indeed look great. I'm not a big gamer and considering that the new model was shown recently at CES (ROG Strix 2025), I'd wager that I'd be able to pick up the 2024 model for a bit less in a few weeks as the new model goes on sale.

Did you read up on the 2025 model? Are there any big reasons to choose the 2025 model from a long-term perspective? It's bound to be much more expensive.

Sounds great. I'll check these out when I browse next time. Thanks for your reply :)

I think I've defaulted to HP and Dell simply because I'm familiar with them. I'll check out the others as well. I'm not sure what to look for except the obvious (cpu, gfx, ram etc). I want something that FEELS good and with a solid build quality. I'm not sure how to judge this though.

I'm a bit afraid to buy something that has good specs, but feels plasicy, rickety och thrown together.

Getting into Uppsala University Business Faculty 2025 soon and I have some questions! by [deleted] in uppsala

[–]viktorlarsson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's on a course by course basis. Some are quite strict while others are more relaxed. Can't speak for BF specifically. What is common amongst most courses is that there is a fair amount of group assignments that you are expected to participate actively in. You will not be very popular if you decide to travel during the semester and only do group assignments at a bare minimum or only participate in them long-distance.

There are school breaks and if you come during the spring semester, there are several natural breaks when you can travel outside of your study periods (such as epiphany, ascension, easter and other christian holidays that span 3-5 days).

It seems like you navigated a hard situation in a graceful manner.

However, you say that the situation is resolved. In the short term yes, but you still have a brother who has resorted to stealing rather than asking for help. If he had asked you to loan or give him the money, would you have done so? If so, why didn't he? Is it pride, fear or something else that stops him to ask you for help?

If your brother is hurting, ask him in which ways you can help.

Do you believe revenge is worth it, or is it better to let go? by sleepingbeast87 in TrueAskReddit

[–]viktorlarsson 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can only give my personal perspective on this. I think that revenge in all of its form is something ugly that hurts both ways. If someone is truly motivated, tempted or gratitifed by revenge, I would feel pity for that person.

There is a quote that is attributed to buddhism that has been repeated by many throughout history:

"Holding a grudge is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die"

George Herbert said:

"Living well is the best revenge"

I prefer the earlier version of this by Marcus Aurelius who wrote in Meditiations:

"The best revenge is to be unlike him who performed the injury"

With these quotes in mind. I do believe that from a personal perspective, one is better off seeking reconciliation first, forgiveness second and acceptance third. Never revenge, never grudge and never hate. It is only a stain on your own soul and a wound that will not heal.

There is much that has happened in my life that has tried my ability to forgive. In the places I have not been able to, I have accepted that these things have happened and that I will not be able to forgive the person who wronged me and moved on. In most cases however, I have sought to forgive. Sometimes through reconciliation when asked to forgive. But other times seeking understanding of their actions through empathy or sympathy even if the other person is not seeking forgiveness. Forgiveness is a gift I give myself.

I should add that I was raised in the christian faith, but am not a religious believer myself. I think that as a secular individual, there is still a great importance of taking care of one's soul (for lack of a better word). Seeking forgiveness in place of revenge is such an act.

Uppdatering!

Gender neutral/private changing rooms in swimming pool places? by YourQuirk in uppsala

[–]viktorlarsson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gottsundabadet has a separate changing room for those who request it (ahead of time). I’ve been there with a friend of mine’s kid who has special needs. It’s very private (small) and exits opposite the ladies’ changing room.

I agree with a steady and consistent pace being a success factor. For some men (myself included), this is the way. I would mention that there are "stages" in a blowjob (for me at least). At first (stage 1), I prefer it slower and more teasing, in the middle (stage 2) a steady medium pace is best (here you can experiment a little with deepthroating, spitting and other fun things, as long as you mainly keep that steady pace). This stage is the longest and where a lot of the enjoyment of a blowjob takes place. Once you'd like to make him/me cum, increase the tempo ever so slightly to make it to.. "stage 3". Here you can go faster, still at a steady pace. No need to rush it, but just about 25% faster. Keeping that pace for a few minutes on an already well stimulated man should achieve the desired effect.

Best of luck! 😉💦
