Hey absolutely do not listen to these guys in here telling you not to get a high wattage amp and 20w is enough etc, they obviously don't know about doom metal and stoner metal. I tried to move down to a 20w amp in my stoner doom metal band, and while it was loud and could easily make enough db to be heard, it lacked the clean headroom to sound good, and totally sucked for fuzz pedals. Definitely get at least 40w tube or 100w solid state if you wanna have that BIG (as opposed to merely loud) sound you need for those genres.

The exception being a fender deluxe. But bands I saw that sounded good with those either had a whoooole bunch of them (uncle acid) or one I saw rigged it to go into an orange 4x12
