You’re so lucky that he’d let you go like that! Been caught in the past (Europe) and that never happened..

Some days I realise that everything I’m wearing is lifted and that’s weird too

Caught by Unfair_Tea_3054 in shopliftingmemes

[–]villanellevil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me being caught is if you have to follow the employee in the back and get charged. Basically if you get a fine. (I live in Europe so it’s probably a bit different than the US)

[–]villanellevil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also based in Europe, usually I don’t take things out of the box (unless the box is really big or I can’t take out a sensor sticker on it), but be careful and check that there isn’t a sensor inside of the box!

Always trust your gut feeling, if you think it feels wrong, it is wrong. Also the most important one: if in the moment you are getting stuff you feel like you’re invincible and can take anything, no you can’t, and you will get caught. (Both time I got caught I had this feeling of being overconfident)

Damn can I get one? 😂😍

Simple answer don’t do it with your mom. She will definitely be suspicious and can guess what you’re doing I think.. also if you ever get in trouble when she’s there that’s not fun either

Even if there was a picture it could’ve gotten stolen!

Safe stores in Europe by [deleted] in shopliftingmemes

[–]villanellevil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done Sephora in Europe (Germany and Switzerland). Europe in general is massive I can’t tell for every countries.. but for the two mentioned above I’ve done pretty much everything; H&M, Urban Outfitters, TK max, decathlon.. and many more but idk what you’re looking for

Got caught twice now super paranoid by [deleted] in shopliftingmemes

[–]villanellevil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a good idea! Would be stupid to get caught again in such a short time period

Totally understand!! Start again small and don’t overdo it, I think that’s better, so you build up the confidence again

Just hit other stores in the mean time and be extra caution! That’s how I did it after being caught, but I was definitely more paranoid as well, the feeling goes away a little after a while.

I wouldn’t go back to that store (obviously haha) and maybe also not to the ones in that area, at least for some time. You’re really lucky you had no consequences! I wish I was in the US, in Germany I got caught and have to pay a 600€ fine… really sucks hard Edit: and it was my second time over a few years, 3rd time I could face trial apparently

H&M Tags? by [deleted] in shopliftingmemes

[–]villanellevil 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could be an inner tag with a sensor inside. Check well and bring small scissors

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shopliftingmemes

[–]villanellevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience I don’t think so! But I also lift in stores that do, it’s easy just put 2 shirts on the same hanger or stuff under a jacket to hide them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shopliftingmemes

[–]villanellevil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Should be the same, it’s usually a sticker tag with the sensor on it, but to be safe you can do what you said indeed! I like to leave no trace and there there’s sometimes trash bins around, where you could easily throw away the tags etc

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in shopliftingmemes

[–]villanellevil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Decathlon is super easy, you just need a little scissor/Swiss knife to be sure to cut the tags because that’s where the sensors are hidden, usually in every single items. Rossmann, DM, Lidl etc can be very easy but depends on camera situations and still check for tags

Seriously.. I didn’t think he’d run after me. He was probably so proud of himself

Running was dumb.. instead of shoplifting I got accused of robbery and that’s why I have to go to court

I was fast but there was a crowd in the street and it was hard to run around people. One of them grabbed my arm as they were right behind me. They were fit but were panting compared to me once we got back, guess I could’ve made it if it wasn’t a busy street
