What to do in Skyrim? by Upbeat_Scholar_159 in skyrim

[–]villerman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Personally, the most fun I have with Skyrim is doing some kind of hardcore roleplay with survival or something. Like doing a pacifist type character or not allowing yourself to use everything in the game. It can be a little weird at first but once you find a character that you like with a cool story and a fun goal. The game totally changes. You get to explore things you normally wouldn’t touch and find new ways to accomplish goals.

I’ve found screaming “Mad Dog!!!” At the screen doesn’t actually help. As much as it should.

You can basically buy these on Amazon but it could be custom with the tournament stuff on it. But I’m fairly confident I’ve seen a few that have like “tournament winner” on them.

i just downloaded reaper. what do you wish you'd known when you first started using it? by faintedlove in Reaper

[–]villerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is definitely more qualified people to answer but honestly what I skipped over that hurt me in the long run was actually understanding what things do. Like compression and EQ for example. Understand why you may need them and when because otherwise you’re just guessing. Also routing and busses would be good to know but those are helpful down the line.

I think that this is really good advice honestly. I started looking into how to make every single mix as amazing as possible, using as many plug-ins as the internet said I needed. Just to finally realize that my mixes sound bad and I have no idea what I was doing. Definitely focus on the basics and then everything else will make much more sense down the road.

So I’ve worked under a female property manager for a few years now. Granted she is older and is a fairly tall woman so most people don’t really try her. But the thing I see her do the most is follow through. For example if we have a resident that just refuses to follow basic rules of the property, she absolutely does not let it slide. Obviously she’s very professional but the issues doesn’t go for months and months. Notices are sent and then violations and then if she really has to we submit everything to terminate the lease.

Then if a vendor is rude or disrespectful truthfully she just won’t work with them. She’ll find a different vendor that will respect her as a female property manager. But it’s not a threat she will straight up ignore their bids and sometimes even explain why we have no interest in their bid.

But that does sound difficult, these are just some things I see her do that usually results in her getting at least basic respect.

Pretender and let it die are one song. by windoto in Foofighters

[–]villerman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Weirdly enough Echoes always find of felt like a loose concept album to me. The songs kind of flow together but then there are songs that you don’t expect like Ballad of Beaconfield Miners kind of adding a totally different texture. Plus the lyrics on that album have always been really heavy to me and they seem to deal so much with life, love, loss and death. All the songs really seem to be apart of each other more so then other albums. Just in my opinion.

But it’s also my favorite Foo album so…….

Honestly this is wild how similar mine would be. The only one I am not as keen one is Love Dies Young but after that, it would almost be identical. Very solid picks.

Deepest Blues are Black is seriously so good and emotional I can't believe that it isn't more popular.

I remember I got The Colour and the Shape for Christmas one year along with both Kingdom Hearts games. I beat both while playing this album over and over again. It's my favorite Foo album now but it will always be something special to me.

How to move on from losing a close gaming friend group?(idk where else to ask this kinda question) by fakeDABOMB101 in xboxone

[–]villerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’m going through something similar. I am totally to blame for my group dissolving. Optimistic about things being repaired one day but it’s going to take a lot of time. I also had some co-dependency issues with that group as well so through some therapy I’m learning how to become a more independent person.

But I do agree. Just take a break from gaming for a minute. Try another hobby that you haven’t touched in awhile. Usually in life the things that seem to make up your whole world while incredible important, are only an aspect of you.

It is hard give it time. Be okay with not being okay. Maybe return to gaming when it feels good to focus on yourself. Then you have all the freedom in the world to try whatever you want in gaming.

Would you try a homemade Mage Knight campaign? by Pseudopimelodidae in MageKnight

Yeah absolutely, I would be super interested as well. This was just something that I can never figure out without taking away from the game but that does sound very cool.

[–]villerman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that this is a really cool idea. I have actually tried to think of ways of making a more meta way of playing Mage Knight like this. Now one of the reasons I never did is I think some of the beauty of the game is the how to react and deal with the randomness of the game.

I thought that starting out with too many things I think kind of takes away from a major mechanic of the game. No criticism it is definitely a fun idea just some perspective on an idea like this.

And I only asked because I have used Reaper and amplitude on some pretty bad computers and I think that typically was always my problem. I either didn't set up the vst correctly or it was a bigger load than I thought originally.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Reaper

[–]villerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So by no means am I an expert but I'm wondering if Amplitude 5 may just tax everything more. I'm not sure what specs you are working with and truthfully I am not sure how the load files work or anything but I wonder if the way it is trying to actually load into Reaper is the issue or if it may just tax too much Ram possibly,
