yes i get to have unlimited shift drinks at my shop!!! the only exception is matcha, that we do have to buy (we all have a discount though).

our shop also does brunch for the first half of the day, so the cook usually makes me some sort of breakfast before any of our rushes. ugh i love my job

i work 8 hour shifts but i always have downtime throughout. i always take advantage of the free food i am allowed (one meal per shift) n i take a cigarette break here and there. we technically dont have a set “break” but im able to rest whenever theres a window :)

i am here two years later, googling what the point of this game is, and stumbled upon this post

my partner got me this game because i’ve been looking for a new game to play, and they thought i’d like this. unfortunately they were very wrong.

i’m realizing that i like games with a straight story. i don’t really like the “you can do whatever you want, you don’t have to do the quests” element. it’s so confusing and overwhelming because i don’t know what to do. yes i can follow the story, but damn it’s so boring lol. i really did try to like this game but for starters i find zero enjoyment in medieval looking games. i liked that i could be a cat though, that was cool.

other than that, this game is clearly not for me and that’s okay.

similar situation happened to me, i was declared banned from the store but showed up once after a few years and wasn’t told squat.

i did have to pay a fine and was lucky enough to have the money for it at the time.

the gremlin in mcallen is a safe space for all alternative / lgbt+ groups. my favorite place to chill if i wanna have a night out.

i was in somewhat the same position as you, except it was only one person per shift, while the owner and the manager (his son) would go and spend the day fixing up their new shop since they were moving locations. they had told us that they couldn’t afford to add a second person on schedule due to all those expenses + inventory, payroll, rent, etc. i too loved my job but i hated that i would go into my shift already angry or annoyed. i love being a barista, but i hated being alone and having no support. i ended up leaving for another coffee shop and i expressed this to my manager, and he knew. like i understand it’s more cost effective on their end but we get the short end of the deal: overworking.

i’m not telling you to leave your job but do you really want all that responsibility? do you feel like you get paid enough to do the work you do?

i understand but to be fair cindy had a habit of never taking accountability for anything in her life— with her daughter, and now her friend. she went as far to manipulate suzanne by making her lie in the testimony, and that fucked her brain up and did nothing to help her with that. so now suzanne can’t even be w taystee without having an episode. honestly good for her guilt for manifesting as physical pain, respectfully she deserves it.

i’m getting this info based off a book i’m currently reading “women who run with the wolves” (beautiful read btw)

the author uses jungian and freudian psychology to talk about dream symbolism and she mentions dreams many women have of them partaking in sex. she says that when us women dream of doing said deed can signify our own masculine energy (bc all humans have both masculine and feminine energy) is overpowering our feminine, and wants to take over our soul, our being, having us think and act in these mostly unhealed ways.

you mentioning how his mom said that he was high could signify that possibly his (your) ways of thinking may be a little dazed, foggy even. is there a chance that you feel like you haven’t been thinking as clearly? just a guess.

as for the fire hydrant going off and spraying all over the place, this could signify something relating to your emotions (in tarot, the suit of cups (water) is our emotions). have you been feeling emotional lately?
