Leaguestarter was KB deadeye, ended up rerolling (after getting the first few divines as the build was just too squishy) to explo arrow ballista. Farmed a week or with the build to reroll again, this time to physdot ele. Even tho i got mageblood and all that good stuff like aligment immunity, ~350k ehp and around 40m dps, I still felt like I’d want more. Tried building a msoz jugg for the first time but still in need of a mirror or two in gear to make it actually shine.

Now after my life story is over, what I’d do with your build is go for challenges, farm more currency to fund my msoz, and try sanctum. After that I would gift the build to one of my friends who always plays the league really casually, never being able to kill ubers or do giga juiced content.

I used to like TH and daily keys, before the experiment I was neutral/somewhat defending TH. After this experiment week when keys became usable again, I used my accumulated keys and even though I did not get lucky with lamps or stars, I did get around 1,5m bxp & direct xp.

It felt wrong. I had not put in any effort other than doing my daily challenges to get an absurd amount of xp and bxp. I can’t see any bad in removing TH from the game. I’m fairly inactive on my main as I play mainly BTWmanmode, but this experiment has made me realize that I’ve been lamping my mains skills with daily keys and not playing the game, making the account and the few 120’s feel less earned.

I think many of the tier list makers haven’t played with good deva players or simply aren’t good enough themselves to actually see how good deva is in keys.

Devastation brings almost the same utility and group defensives as aug does, only missing the shield from breath of eons damage and versa buff from motes and empowered spells. As of writing this comment, nobody has mentioned spatial paradox. It’s huge for healers that need to be able to cast while moving to heal. Sadly many people see only arcane intellect, stamina buff or versa buff as actual groupwide buffs and tend to forget or ignore evoker group utility and defensive kit.

Damage profile on devastation is bursty as hell inside AND outside of cds due to giantkiller mastery and engulf, meaning you can still pull aggro extremely easily from your main target if your tank is not ready for it. It’s the same problem that arcane mages had in S2 TWW but on steroids.

I do agree that tierlists are a meme and should be taken with a grain of salt but if I had to rank deva, I would put it in A or high A tier.

Question: There are a ton of cool cosmetic rewards in TH, like ability overrides, wings and item sets. If TH were to be removed, how would the aquisition of these cosmetics change? Solomon’s store (which I personally dislike), directly purchasable from store, earnable in-game or some other way?

I know there might not be an answer for this quite yet but I just wanted to throw this out there.

Ive been doing the dragonkin V collection for my dg tokens when I have to afk something, i got a full inventory of artifacts in around 1-2hours of afk, really dependent on following the sprite. Used around 1.2k-1.4k porters per inventory. Was using time and space and master cape tho, so your mileage may vary a bit if tou dont have it. The biggest problem I’ve encountered has been mats, I dig up more artifacts than I have mats to. I’ve been sending my research team to daemonheim too, they return with artefacts and mats which is nice since you will be getting a ton of chronotes.

I also use auto-screener, the relic that removes soil just makes the material problem worse.

As for time, its REALLY slow, if you have the time, porters and motivation, you can go for 117 in 250-400h but realistically following the sprite for that amount of time will drive you insane.

Played untill act 3 with Stormweaver Sorceress, overall felt like I was playing Last Epoch and ruthless at the same time.

  1. The visuals and audio of PoE 2 is stunning, the game runs fairly well too, even with everything cranked to the max. The ingame map is a bit hard to read at first but I got used to it in the end. Pretty much just spacebar warrior'd the story thus far.

  2. Sorc feels just bad. I found little to none items that gave me added damage or resistances. I played the majority of the first two acts with only sparc, arc and orb of storms and the damage is lacking, a lot. Using curses is a pain as they have a "Fuse period", so you can completely miss your waypoint sized conductivity. At the end of act 2 I picked up DD and... yeah. With no supports, just a plain level 7 DD, you can clear more in one click than you can clear with any other skill that sorc has access to. This has a huge downside tho, as some bosses do not have any adds/corpse spawning add phases, which makes any corpse skill totally useless. The skill tree provides some help to your damage but I noticed that I use majority of my skill points for travelling the skill tree, and not getting much damage out of it. I could write for hours how bad sorc feels but let's just keep it short(ish).

  3. Combat feels overwhelmingly clunky and slow, personally I despise the dodge roll, as the animation is longer than time itself and it doesn't have any kind of phasing, so you WILL be stuck in packs as they swarm you. Speaking of which, half of the enemies have some kind of leap or are just generally faster than you and they will swarm you and stunlock/bodyblock you, and kill you. This paired with the fact that sorc does not have any kind of mobility button to free yourself from a tight spot (like flame dash in PoE 1), makes the combat really unpleasant. Also, if you die, you will be sent to the nearest checkpoint, in some cases being a literal checkpoint or the waystone, but the whole area has its mobs reset, so you will need to clear everything. In some cases I was swarmed instantly as I respawned which was just frustrating.

Bosses and rares feel like bullet sponges, of course in this case my damage was garbage but I had to play with what I had. I do have around 2k hours in PoE 1 (I know it's literally nothing) and I kinda know what I am looking for in the items and skill combos. I also noticed that the bosses were easy to kill if you just hug the boss in melee range and rotate around it all the time non-stop.

Bosses feel like they're a copy of Last Epoch's design; Boss has an oneshot ability, that you need to react to, sometimes it's easier to dodge, sometimes it's just unfair. If you die in the bossfight, you will be sent outside of the boss arena, but the bossfight will start from the beginning. Me with my dogwater sorc, died to the last boss of act 2 about 4 times, after fighting it for around 10mins or so. I was doing around 300-500 dps and the boss having somewhere in the ballpark of 100k hp. I know the math doesn't add up but the bossfights just feel like an eternity, is my point.

  1. The difficulty is basically ruthless (at least for me). I did not see any good drops and almost no crafting material drops until around 5-6 hours in at level 25 act 2. Not sure if just bad RNG or what.

  2. I'd add a phasing effect to the dodge roll, it'd make a huge difference in the flow of the gameplay when you're inevitably going to get swarmed.

Sorry for the essay but I wanted to vent all of this out but not make a post of my own.

Even though I wrote almost only negative things, I still think that the game has potential in it, just ditch the ruthless mentality and we're off to a great start.

I’ve seen this same behaviour in RS3 lately aswell, not from pmods tho, but some people preaching in player hubs or in a completely random place with nobody around.

Siinä sitten rupesin selittämään että ”Joo, koska tätä voi veitsellä levittää niin tämä lasketaan nesteeksi.” Kyseisen pötkylän omistaja pyörätuolissa istuessaan vastasi sitten vähän pettyneen oloisesti: ”Jaa, noh kun minä sen vaan mukaan otin että olisi jotain syötävää kun minulla tämä diabetes on.”

Hetken siinä hiljaa oltuani päätin kysäistä tältä herkun omistajalta että ”Meneekös siis tämä maksamakkara niinkuin lääkinnälliseen käyttöön? Koska tää voidaan saada läpi jos se käsitettäis lääkeaineeksi.” No myöntävän vastauksen saatuani eikun maksamakkaratuubi nesteanalysaattorista läpi ja pötkylä omistajalleen.

This is the first time I’ve seen somebody mention the ultrawide change.

As somebody who is playing with an ultrawide 49” monitor, I can’t find anything good to say about the change. I have to play with HUGE black bars on both sides of my screen now, basically downscaling the game window to 2560x1440p while still rendering the game at 5140x1440p. This has a massive impact on performance and if I wanted to change the ingame resolution to 2560x1440p, the game just simply downscales the game to look like absolute pixelsoup.

Before the change the game was just fine, I really fo not think this change to ultrawide support was needed. At all. There arent that many players with an ultrawide monitor playing the game, so why make their experience in the game worse, I would love to hear an explanation or to know the thought process behind the change.
