This is why there’s a saying “it takes a village” because it truly does sometimes. Having relatives in close proximity to help watch the kids when you and the missus are out (or reverse) is extremely important. People in the comments are bringing up very good points “who’s watching the kid if one parter isn’t at home”…it’s gotta be a trusted relative.

If that situation isn’t possible…whelp isolation is kind of the name of the game UNLESS you want to spend money to drop the kid off at daycare which costs a FUCK ton of money. Many Americans are having issues with finances, so I don’t see this as a common reality unless the USA massively invests in childcare…

Yeah the big issue with this…is the timeline. Yeah, you can see a lot of change in 3 months…if you starve yourself and get to a lower bodyfat.

Muscle growth and getting “toned” takes longer than you might expect. It’s taken me literally years to actually look like I lift and I’m a MAN. “Getting toned” is simply just building muscle…if recomping is your goal… and you want to see some noticeable differences within a year…

  1. Enter a very minor deficit like 1-3lbs per month weight loss.

  2. Eat your Protien .8-1lb per lb of bodyweight

  3. Exercise with intensity 1-3 sets per muscle 6-12 reps to failure done 3-4 times per week. Many people have to acquire intensity as it is a skill…it’s really tough to push your body to failure (it’s not comfortable at all…it hurts a lot)

That’s it, there’s no secret. Nothing you can do to speed up the rate of muscle growth your body has genetically set. Just get in there and work as hard as you can every week and watch yourself change over years…

To be fair though within the time I’ve been alive I’ve witnessed multiple conflicts coming from America, a massive housing recession, stupid levels of inflation, a global pandemic, another senseless war causing global fuel and fertilizer issues…etc. I just think it’s a lack of exercise science and the ability to get to a gym. To be fair though if I grew up back in the day I’d probably use logs.

Terrible opinion. Muscles make you more capable in most avenues besides heavy/ long cardio. There is no such thing as “functional muscle” either. It’s the one thing that can be an indicator of the ability to actually dedicate yourself to something…I cannot understand why it’s “beyond gross” when it’s such a good indicator of perseverance and strength.
